A premium looking set. Prior to this, I was using my trusted but older Le Creuset steel pan set. The builds look very similar. The major difference is that Zwilling is half the price compared to that of LeCreuset. The pans heat up evenly on our induction hob, despite the lightness compared to Le Creuset. They're also easier to handle if you have someone that struggles with joint pain compared to both cast iron and heavy based pans. The steel is top quality 18/10 which means they perform remarkably in the kitchen, wash very well with tarnishing (which has happened with another cheaper set I had), and able to withstand cleaning with our scourer to remove tough stains. They are made of sufficiently thick steel so they would allow for many years of use, just like pans which are twice their price. The Zwilling brand falls under the same umbrella as Staub - who's cast iron pans i've used for a good few years, it's the only pans I bring out to make "breakfast" treats like clafoutis, even though I have Lodge pans too. They're very hardwearing and able to withstand soaking in water and acidic foods. Under that same brand conglomerate is Henckels - who's knives are pretty amazing at all manner of prepping, especially for us, as a busy foodie home cooking family where buttering, pairing and deboning is the norm. These latter two brands haven't let me down so far, so these Zwilling pan set has big boots to fill; and at a much more reasonable price than the Le Creuset steel pan set I purchased which command a price twice that of Zwilling, yet made of the same 18/10 steel.5 stars

This set is excellent quality, strong and smart, pretty much sufficient for us for our general cooking as it comes with different sizes. Have used them , cooked well, no discolouration or burnt spots on the pots, and they are very sturdy, heat up fast. They are all a really good size , lightweight and the quality looks and feels fantastic . Lovely steamer which I will use a lot. They wash really easily. Sometimes the food sticks and burns at the bottom of the pan. The residual mineral deposits are removed easily without the need to use special solutions. My criticism is that there is NO good grip , NO protection on the handles, it feels like a kind of design fault, I don’t know , but they do get blistering hot during cooking, so do be careful, although you may use a tea towel to cover it up, you’d better considering this before purchasing.Overall A great quality set of pots but the handles get too hot to hold!
