Interesting to see how well the stapled spine holds up. The cover is sturdy. Not sure why people find the black dots too dark. They look fine to me. I ordered the sleeves for it as it will be knocked around in my purse. Also, I want the pen attached for quick notes.

I really love the design and smoothness of the pages. It's just what I needed. I haven't tried the water resistance but I can tell the front cover is smoothly "waxed(?)" so it's definitely water resistant. But the inside pages are made of more stronger paper material so it might not be 100% water resistant. Each book contains 48 pages. It's very little and small and does the work, but overall quite a bit pricy (as compared to regular composite notebooks at Staples)
