I ordered the ZYLC Stretch Skull Cap because I've been reading about the trend of people protecting their energy in public spaces by covering their hair or head. I often feel stressed in large groups, so I thought I’d give it a try. With temperatures over 90 degrees, I needed something lightweight, unlike a baseball cap or cowboy hat. I wanted something fun and funky to cover at least the top of my head and most of my hair while out and about. The cap looked really cute on the models in the ad, so I was excited to get it.The stretch skull cap is designed to cover the entire head with a tie in the back. Made of 100% polyester, it is washable and fits head sizes with a circumference of about 20.47 to 23 inches. The top has pleats for extra room, and the back features a "V" with two ties on each side of a split, each tie measuring almost 20 inches. These ties make the cap adjustable and can be styled in a bow or left to hang down in a more boho style.Unfortunately, despite my baby-thin hair, the cap fits, but it is very tight and looks terrible on me. I do have a larger-than-average head circumference, which I discovered when being fitted for a cowboy hat, but the cap was advertised as adjustable, but I guess it is if your head is smaller. My mother tried it on and it was tight on her as well. The cap did neither of us any favors when we were we wearing it, but it gave us both a good hearty laugh.Overall, while the ZYLC Stretch Skull Cap looks cute in ads and would be really cute on a younger girl or a person with a much smaller skull. So be sure you measure before ordering. It is unfortunate they made this item so small. As it has adjustable ties, they could have easily made it larger, so it would fit more people. That said, the item IS as advertised, so I have given it five stars.

I ordered this because my hair is starting to thin/bald at my age and I'm a bit self-conscious of it. It looks a little bit like a durag on me, but if you pull the top part loose a bit and either leave the tassels loose or tie them as in the picture, it looks more like a lightweight beanie than anything. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear, even in this 100F degree weather we have here. It's not itchy or too tight.
