Nice wire barbless hooks. They are sticky sharp and quite strong for there size. Win Win.

This review is for the Kingfisher Wide Gap Jig hooks KF-9240 (size 18)Recently picked up a selection of the Kingfisher hooks to test out. It looks like they are introducing them slowly to their inventory—so far 10 or so different varieties available. Thought at first they were using the Mustad numbering system (e.g., the 9671 is a streamer hook I have used for a long stretch) but searching the numbers I couldn’t come up with other Mustad equivalents.These hooks seems to be very well sharpened, have decent bend strength, and are “right sized”. The wide gap in this size of a jig hook means it will be much easier for typing purposes, and in theory should button a few more fish too. Barbless, which is a good thing for me as I pinch down all my barbs anyway. ot sold a wide gap would be needed for 14s and bigger, but some folks are very inclined this way, so all the power to ya!! Some confusion (maybe on my part) on the product listing, as the 18s say it is a 25 pack while all the others are a 100 pack, and I received a 100 pack in the 18.

Received these hooks today and they are perfect. Since I fish only in catch and release special rules trout waters they will save me from having to get out my pliers and mash down the barbs. These are going straight into my fly tying box. Being barbless they will will be easy to remove from the trout's jaw and if the fish takes it too deep it is a lot easier to remove without killing the fish because they are barbless. For conservation minded fisherman this is important.Now all I need is someone to help me perfect my fly patterns. I've tied for years, but I'm not all that good at it. For some reason my flies hardly ever look as good as the ones you buy at a fly shop. :( Oh well...

Excellent set of barbless hooks. They are super sharp, and the size is accurate. I've tied a few flies, but haven't fished them yet, so durability is unknown at this time, but I will revisit the review if needed.
