I bought this great little nugget on Amazon on 28 Aug 2020. It's been wonderful for a little over four years (now it's 18 Jan 2025). The sensor seems to have gone bad bec I get only a static PM2.5=3 and AQI=13 forever and no amount of reset attempts seem to help (taking the batteries out, simultaneously pressing the two white buttons in the back, etc.) I guess I'll just have to buy a new one. My model is WH41B with Sensor ID=E3.

Se come me vivete in un posto dove una manica di intelligentissimi furbissimi ha l'abitudine di usare pellet scadente di dubbia provenienza, magari addirittura noccioli d'oliva (vietatissimi, ma tant'è) o peggio ancora, pellet "autoprodotto" col tritatutto (un condominio) ed emulsione vinilica (spero sia solo quella e non resine plastiche) è un salvavita.Nel frattempo che al governo qualcuno si renda conto che l'incidenza dei tumori è in crescita esponensiale e che invece di diminuire l'inquinamento aumenta grazie a queste stufe sparafuliggine (spesso neppure in regola) e le vieti definitivamente, dotatevene anche voi.Perchè il problema è semplice: finchè non si comincerà a trattare l'aria come l'acqua potabile, continueremo a respirare qualsiasi schifezza. E l'aria, a differenza dell'acqua, non la puoi bollire.Che il vero problema sia l'nquinamento dell'aria è un fatto. Che questo sia l'equivalente del termostato, per sapere QUANDO arieggiare, pure.Visto che ci siete, comprate magari anche un buon depuratore d'aria.

This seemed to work great and accurately measure the air quality based on a nearby metrics, but the included display (which sits inside and pulls in air quality data from the monitor outside, along with indoor temp and humidity) requires a single AA battery (not included) to operate and strips the battery so quickly that it only works for an hour at most before the battery is dead and it stops pulling in data. The first time it happened, I thought maybe the included batteries with the aqi monitor were drained, but I charged them and they were completely full still. Replaced the battery, and the same thing happened again. Doesn't matter how accurate the reading is if I can't read it because the display dies immediately! It's too bad, this would have been the perfect solution.

It is a particle meter, not an air pollution index monitor so it shows the amount of dust/pollen particles with a number. That number then reflects on a bar graph below that shows the air pollution index more or less. So if you are under 12, then you are still in the "good" range. As the number goes higher, it shows what the air pollution index would be...good, moderate, mild, unhealthy, severe and hazardous. There is a wide range for each air pollution level and since I have asthma, I am more interested in how many particles are floating around my room. So this monitor works great for that and still gives me a rough air pollution index! It is well made and works great through wifi. I can place the transmitter anywhere in the house or outside with the additional solar charger and monitor the air quality from my room. Really nice!

I can recommend this Ecowitt Air Quality Monitor.I recently purchased this sensor to monitor outdoor and indoor air quality at a home in Hawaii with volcanic emissions (VOG - mostly PM2.5 where I live). It seems accurate as I have another quality sensor (Plantower PMS3003) which gives the same results. Both of my sensors also match a quality Purple Air sensor located at a nearby house in my neighborhood.This Ecowitt sensor is particularly nice because it has no wires and you can move the monitor and/or sensor around easily if needed. You can have the monitor in one room with you, and the sensor anywhere else, or take it with you – whatever you like. This sensor does take a few minutes to update the readings, unlike a live sensor which is constantly changing, but that is to save energy life with the 2 sensor rechargeable batteries and a wireless connection – and is not really an issue.Quick Summary:1. Nice battery operated display (no wires) with PM2.5 / ugm3, Max, 24-hour Max and 1hr Max PM2.5, 24-hour AQI color bar, temp and humidity, sensor battery level and sensor reception icon.2.
