A little more reach, a heavier weight but clear sound. If you like SD1, you will likely enjoy these too.

These have to be the best concert snare drum sticks ever. Well matched and perfectly balanced. Just the right weight for performing comfortably with precision strokes. Feedback through them is fantastic. Why did it take me so long to discover them? They do seem in short supply globally at the moment. Grab them while you can!

Nice solid-feel to these sticks. Heavier than the $3.99 practice pair I got at the music store. These sticks are made with beautiful wood, so they look nice, too. I’m a drum newbie, so other than this, idk what to say! I love them!

I had always used SD1s in the past. Getting used to the feel of these sticks. They are much easier to play P and PP with. I'm sure after several more rehearsals I will enjoy them even more.Update 12/14/2019: after almost four years I finally broke a stick with the last rim shot in our 10th Annual Christmas Concert. Ordering another set before our first rehearsal of 2020.Though it took a little while to get used to them, the Leggiero’s quickly became my go-to sticks. Quick rebound, good dynamic range, comfortable size for long sessions.

I grew up in high school and junior high playing snare in a drumline. We used a very different model back then, but I was intrigued by the idea of a persimmon wood stick and I wanted something to build chops and muscle back. These work wonderfully on all those scores. Not sure how the sticks will hold up against heavy duty rimshots, but I suspect quite well.
