Great to see these ceramic hotends coming to Amazon. These install just like the OEM hotend. Just be sure to go into the printer GUI and do a pid tune (and set for a hardened nozzle if you haven't already). I only have about 20 hours on this hotend so far, but I have had absolutely zero issues with print quality. Fit is fine. I had a hard time with the plug, but that's 100% Anycubic's fault and not the fault of this hotend. I have that issue every time I swap hotends on my S1.It is a bit amazing to see the hotend heat so quickly (my first ceramic heated hotend)!

Dropping this one star for having no instructions! I got this so that I have a replacement when the time comes and my S1 needs a new hot end/print head. I think this is actually an upgrade from the factory installed unit so I may elect to use it sooner than later. Everything looks good and I am excited to give this a try!

It worked right out of the packaging! It came with a nozzle tightening screw. However, I did not use it as it seemed to be already super tight. I have printed PLA and PETG on this hotend and works fine. The temps increase super fast and the print quality is great! Highly recommend for those looking for a replacement hotend for the Kobra S1.

This same core part is available from multiple brands on Amazon. It's a 0.4mm hardened-steel hotend for an Anycubic Kobra S1 printer with a design similar to hotends found on older Bambu Lab printers. This hotend is a substantial improvement over the factory Anycubic hotend, and I recommend it to any Kobra S1 owner.Compared to the factory hotend:• The nozzle tip is hardened steel, not brass; it can print abrasive filaments like glow-in-the-dark, marble, carbon-fiber, glass-filled, etc. without destroying the nozzle. If you only print standard PLA and PETG, you'll need to replace the nozzle far less often.• The heatbreak is all metal, rather than having a PTFE tube. That means you can print high-temperature filaments like ABS, ASA, Nylon, etc. with this hotend and not have to worry about damaging the tube or releasing toxic gasses from the PTFE being overheated.• The hotend is physically smaller—which reduces printhead mass and therefore improves acceleration—yet it heats more quickly and maintains heat more evenly than the factory hotend. What does this mean? Your printer will finally do all the things that Anycubic claimed it would do (but couldn't due to the brass-tipped, PTFE-throated hotend), and the quality of your prints will likely noticeably improve. Your printer will also take less time warming up—the new hotend heats about twice as fast. The hotend comes with the correct 300㏀ thermistor for the Kobra S1, unlike some factory-pattern aftermarket nozzles. Compared to those factory-pattern nozzles, the thermistor wires are much thinner and more fragile, so use care installing and swapping the hotend. This is room for improvement in all of these Bambu-style Kobra S1 hotends I've seen.Compared to other brands selling the same hotend, this one loses some points because:• No instructions are included.• Specifically, no instruction to heat the hotend to 250°C and then tighten it with a 4mm wrench (included) before first use is provided. That's necessary to avoid potential filament leaks. (You'll need to hold the body of the hotend with adjustable pliers, taking care not to crush the thermistor or wiring.)• No spare nozzles are provided; other brands include several spares.I definitely recommend all Kobra S1 owners upgrade to this style of hotend. This one works as well as others; it just doesn't include everything you might get from other sellers. Consider the prices and buy accordingly.
