The Real Vocal Book: Low Voice Edition (1)

This is the low voice version of The Real Book, which is the jazz lead sheet book all the jazz students are expected to know in order to become a gigging pro. This version is transposed down for lower voice vocalists, probably altos. It is not exactly the same contents as Real Book 1, but there is obviously a lot of overlap. My merely mortal female vocalist friend greatly prefers singing in these keys rather than the original keys. A huge amount of fun has been had playing tunes out of these books with my friends.

It is a treat for an alto to have the right key. This book is great inspiration for an old choir singer to get back to singing those wonderful old songs.The service was great. The paid delivery was one day late, but Gaspe is the end of the earth, so even that is miraculous. The price, with shipping, was better than I paid at a store for a high-voice Volume II. That one at least introduced me to the existence of such books.

This song collection is great! In Volume I and II, I not only found the everyday standards, but many, many unknown songs to me as well, which I'm looking forward to exploring and adding to my repertoire.The font is clear and very legible as well.

Volume 1 Low Voice 全295曲、見開きで1〜2曲棋譜されています、老眼の私でも見やすく少し暗いスタジオなどでも良く見えます、曲目はJazzスタンダードとBossaNova Lqtin Popularが少し女性用に転調しなくて良いので楽が出来ます、ボケ防止にはなりませんが・・・汗''Volume 2 Low Voice はAc-cent-tchu-ate The Positiveアクセンチュエイト・ザ・ポジシブ(アレサ・フランクリン)も歌っている素敵な曲から始まっていますUSAのJazz Standardなので日本のJazz Standardとは、若干曲目が違うように思えます　評価星の四つはVerseの棋譜が無いためです・・・要らないとは思いますが？記号はプロのバンドで使っている表記です(Cm=C-レピート等)Cメロのみですが女性Jazzボーカルを目指す方は二冊持っていても役に立つと思います男性の方はHigh Voiceの方を買って下さい、此方はインストルメントの曲が1〜2曲多かったと思います演奏される方は転調して弾けば良いので曲数が多い方が良いかも？
