This has been used for the past 2-3 weeks and after attempting to clone more than 2 drives back to back, the system overheats and smokes outside the back of the unit. Of course, the return window closed yesterday and now were stuck with a $800 unit that has an electrical/fire hazard issue.

Definitely download the online instructions. This thing works good for wiping - but it can be very quirky at times.

I work for a company that has custom hardware. We have strict signature checks on the drive during boot that validates the MBR, etc. If even one bit is changed, the drive won't work for us.This device does not make a bit for bit copy of the source drive. We cannot use them to boot our platform. This may or may not affect people using Windows or Linux normally. If you are looking for something to make a bit for bit copy of a source drive, this won't do that, at least not the device I received from Amazon. It's a shame because it seems to copy one 120GB SSD to 5 SSDs in about 15 minutes. Would have helped a ton.

I used this at work to copy five 2.5TB drives. This works perfectly and it's fast! The only thing that I wanted to point out when copying is to make sure you choose option "3. Copy & Compare". In my experience, the first time I used only "1. Copy" it didn't copy all the files from my master.
