great grass rake

I bought it, initially, for scarifying my lawn,, and it is excellent for that.However, I find myself using it ever since, almost daily: for collecting cut grass from my lawn, left behind, after mowing; or leaves on the lawn, all sorts of activity including collection bits and pieces, in the garden.I find it extremely useful, and pleasant to use.

The rake seems very solid, don't notice much flex in the steel when roughly raking the ground. Pretty good for getting dead moss and thatch out of the lawn, though nowhere near as good as using a dedicated scarifier machine. Overall the rake has performed as expected and is much better than cheaper ones I've had in the past. Recommended.

I bought this leaf rake to replace an old, rusted one I previously had.I usually go for cheap and cheerful but this time I wanted a rake that would last longer.This Spear and Jackson rake worked well for me since I found the wide spread of the hooks helped me complete the usual garden jobs much quicker. The long stick also saved my back !

Bought one to replace an ancient rake and were so impressed we bought a second. There are cheaper rakes on here but it's worth paying the extra for this one. The head is wide and looks strongly made, which speeded up grass raking. The handle is thicker than most and made from some sort of hardwood (probably ash or hickory).
