Un teleobiettivo professionale compatto, super nitido a tutte le focali e a tutte le aperture, difficilmente delude. Non troppo pesante e molto portabile, lo uso su A7RIII (quindi sensore molto denso) senza il minimo problema. Ottica con la quale ci si può fare di tutto. Io la uso per paesaggi e sono soddisfatto al 100%. Vale quello che costa e non costa poco!

Nachdem ich bislang als Standard-Telezoom das Sony FE 4.0/70-200 OSS Makro nutze (siehe meine dortige Rezension) wollte ich eine längere Brennweite insbesondere natürlich für Tier-/Wildlife Fotografie.Aufgrund der sehr guten Erfahrungen mit dem Sony 4.0/70-200 OSS Makro fiel die Wahl auf das Sony FE 100-400 G-Master.Wie bisher auch, fotografierte ich mit der Sony Alpha 7C II inkl. Zusatzhandgriff.Aus meiner Sicht ist die Größe einer Kamera (solange sie nicht extrem klein ist!) bei diesem Objektiv egal, da man sowieso das Gesamtgewicht am Objektiv hält und ausbalanciert. VERARBEITUNGDas FE 100-400 G-Master besteht aus Metall (z.B. Bajonett) und viel hochwertigem Kunststoff. Letzteres sehe ich als Vorteil und nicht als Nachteil. Moderne Kunststoffe sind sehr robust und deutlich leichter als Metall.Mit etwa 1,4 kg ist das Objektiv noch relativ „leicht“ und auch nach mehrstündiger Foto Tour kein Ballast. Selbstverständlich ist es gegen Staub und Spritwasser geschützt.Wie gewohnt, gibt es bei Sony G-Master Objektiven wenig zu kritisieren.Wenn überhaupt, dann würde ich mir einen etwas kürzeren Weg beim Zoom Ring wünschen. Was aber nur von Bedeutung ist, wenn man wirklich den kompletten Weg von 100 bis 400 abfahren will für ein Motiv. AUTOFOCUSHier war ich neugierig, wie sich das doch schon 7 Jahre alte 100-400 im Vergleich zu einem neuen 70-200 schlägt. Und ich war mehr als erstaunt. Das Objektiv stellt unglaublich schnell und lautlos scharf und ich habe nie ein Pumpen bemerken können. Und das obwohl ich nicht die Begrenzung von 3 m bis unendlich ausgewählt habe. Hier gibt es keinen Grund zu meckern. Es mag zum Teil auch dem genialen Autofocus der 7CII geschuldet sein. Ich kann nicht beurteilen, ob es mit älteren Sony Kameras anders ist. BILDQUALITÄTWas soll ich hier sagen? Eigentlich würde ein Wort genügen: Fantastisch!Die Aufnahmen sind gestochen scharf und kontrastreich. Flairs konnte ich mit Gegenlichtblende keine feststellen.Was auffällig war, ist die Tatsache, dass die Schärfe bei allen Brennweiten in der Mitte sehr gut bis hervorragend schon bei Offenblende ist. Ein signifikanter Unterschied zwischen den Brennweiten ist in der Praxis nicht erkennbar. Vielleicht wenn man auf 200 oder 400% vergrößert. Aber das ist für mich sinnfreie Fehlersuche.Am Rand nimmt die Schärfe bei 400 mm geringfügig ab bei Offenblende. Was sich bei Abblenden verbessert. Praxisrelevant für Tierfotografie ist das nicht. SONSTIGESDa das Objektiv bis auf 1:2,9 abbildet und Annäherung auf unter 1 m erlaubt sind auch makroähnliche Aufnahmen damit möglich. FAZITWer bereit ist, 2.300 EUR auszugeben und inkl. Kamera 2 kg zu tragen, macht hier nichts falsch. Ich kann das Sony FE 100-400 G-Master jedenfalls empfehlen. HINWEIS:Die beigefügten Bilder wurden aufgrund oft schlechter Lichtverhältnisse alle zwischen ISO 800 und ISO 10.000 aufgenommen. Und werden natürlich bei Amazon zusätzlich reduziert.

I bought this lens in early 2024, and at this point the lens has been around for 6-7 years. The lens however is still such an excellent performer, it has not been bettered for the E-Mount, and won’t be until Sony update it. It’s just a higher quality physical product with sharper images than Tamron and Sigma alternatives and also the Sony 200-600… Which is a sensational lens but just doesn’t quite get to G-Master levels.It’s lovely to see this lens is made in Japan, and it’s built like a tank, very weighty with a mostly metal barrel, beautifully built and finished. It is lenses like this which established a reputation of excellence for the G-Master line and let the photographic world know that Sony were serious.I use this lens for a range of uses from product photography, occasional portrait shots, landscapes and birds in the garden.Image quality is fantastic, and creates beautiful bokeh when shooting an isolated subject. Autofocus is plenty snappy enough for my needs as I do slow and deliberate photography and not hardcore sports and wildlife. Your style and requirements might vary.The lens has in-built image stabilisation which works with the cameras own IBIS to give really solid steady shots when shooting at slower shutter speed and lower light.The only ‘negatives’ are the weight which some might struggle with, and the foot not having an Arca Swiss fitment built-in, which is always so handy.Other than that, it’s difficult to pick fault with the build or performance.Sony will eventually refresh and update this lens and it will likely be slightly sharper, more compact with quicker autofocus… But I doubt it will be better made, probably won’t be made in Japan or have a full metal barrel, and so I’m happy to buy this in 2024, safe in the knowledge that this will be a phenomenal performer for years to come, meeting all my personal needs from such a lens.Still best in class and going strong.

Tenía miedo de comprar un lente otra vez en Amazon porque el último me llegó mal, pero esta vez llego el mismo día de la compra.La rapidez de enfoque del lente es buena y la nitidez como dicen hermosa. Seguiré probando y les cuento. Dejó dos fotos de la luna.

Es un objetivo de gran calidad. Los grandes peros son: un poco más de zoom y más luminosidad con un poco menos de peso y más barato. Son cosas incompatibles, pero por pedir. El caso es que por calidad y nitidez no hay otro objetivo igual de otro fabricante para las Alpha de Sony

Super tele per chi ha bisogno di qualità, robustezza, precisione e nitidezza.

È un ottica molto versatile per lo sport e fotografia naturalistica L ho usata accoppiata al moltiplicatore 1.4 con una Sony a7iii.La scarsa luminosità può essere un problema ma le nuove camere hanno buona resa ad alti iso. Ho deciso di mandarla indietro ad Amazon perché troppo ingombrante. Per utilizzo che ne voglio fare io diventa complesso portarla in giro. Un mio collega viaggiava con me ed utilizzava una Sony rx10mk4 con risultati praticamente uguali ai miei per le foto con tele!

Probabilmente sono stato sfortunato, l'obiettivo è sicuramente costruito bene e rende un dettaglio molto buono, peccato che il mio avesse grandi problemi di messa a fuoco usato sulla mia Sony A7R2, ho provato qualsiasi configurazione e AF tuning, nulla da fare, reso immediatamente, inaccettabile per il prezzo che costa, con i miei Canon non ho mai avuto (e ripeto mai) nessun problema sia con obiettivi nuovi che usati.
