I bought a pair of summer weight low rise socks by Smartwool last year while traveling and immediately loved them. I am planning a Camino this spring and decided to buy my 2nd pair of Smartwool socks to see if they were as impressive as my first pair. Yes! Love them -BUT - the medium (as per the size chart) are a bit too large and don't sit firm. As they were worn once, I will keep them for wearing under my winter boots.I would order the smaller size but out of stock. They are great socks!

My wife loves these. Most socks she wears, especially those containing wool irritate her ankles and calves. These don’t irritate so I and my daughter both bought her more. They cost more than some other brands but if comfort is paramount you can’t go wrong with Smartwool.

These are worth every penny, and I highly recommend for a hiking trip. They dry fast, are warm, and very comfortable. Best hiking socks.
