These are great if your child wants to use the adults cutlery. It's small enough for them to handle. They have little images in the ends. They look much nicer than plastic cutlery.

Not much to say as it is silverware. It works well with daughters motor-skill set and she is 3yr9mos old. She started pulling off the thick grips of her toddler utensils which was an indication for me, but adult utensils were too big. I washed them once in the dishwasher and there were no issues getting them clean right out of the cycle. The size is slightly larger than toddler utensils with the big polyurethane handles, which she was pulling off just to grab the metal handle which may be a comfort thing or what she sees mommy and daddy doing with their adult utensils. I bought the package with the spoons and forks only without the knives. I did not feel comfortable with the knives so much, but she has her play kitchen knives that she is learning how to cut foods. I am projecting that I will use these until the next transition which I imagine will be around six years old. I will assess at that time. I would describe my daughter as being tall with great athletic ability, great intellect in terms of development, but average on motor skills like utilizing writing instruments. The key for me was she prompting my response with pulling off polyurethane covers on toddler utensils, and the food always falling off her for her fork and spoon, which frustrated her while eating. I hope this helps some.

My 3 and 4 year old were ready for utensils that weren’t “baby utensils”. These are the perfect size and great quality.

The quality and size of this set is perfect for your toddler who thinks they are “too big” for baby/kids cutlery. The spoon is wide and relatively deep so it’s great for kids to scoop a descent mouthful of their cereal or rice without it all falling off. The width of the handle encourages our kids to eat for themselves but also reasonably sized for us to pick them up and help them scoop or stab their food.
