At the time of this review, this set is listed for $19.99, which is a phenomenal price for such a wide range of hex keys of this quality. You get a holder with this set, which keeps the keys organized and well labelled. In addition, the holder has a small hook loop on it, so it can live on a pegboard without issues. The sizes range from 1.27mm to 10mm, which should cover most ordinary tasks. For bike repair, this set works really well.I'm actually surprised to see the 1.27mm key, which isn't usually found in a set like this. But I have small RC cars that require a key in this size, so it's a nice addition! These keys are made from S2 Steel, which is a good quality steel for hex keys. They are coated, which gives them the black look with added corrosion protection.I'm personally not a fan of the coating and don't like the feel it gives the keys. It also comes off the end of the keys as you use them. The keys have very good tolerances, and I've had no play or wiggle while using them. One end does have a ball end on it, so getting in at a slight angle is also possible.I've compared these to hex keys that I've paid 2-3x more for, and these are every bit as good.Whether you need your first set of hex keys, or want to add a second set to your tool collection, you can't go wrong with these!

When my bathroom faucet started leaking, I needed an Allen wrench of all things. After spending a half hour collecting all my Allen wrenches from their various hiding spots and then trying to figure out which one was 3/32, it was the last straw. I bought both the SAE and metric kits so I would never have that issue again. This set does not disappoint. The wrenches seem to be solidly made with chamfered edges to help them seat properly without damaging either the wrench or the item. I haven't had the need to use the ball end yet, but if I ever need to, I'll be glad of it, I'm sure. In the rare instance I would have several wrenches out of the holder at once, most of them have their size etched on (the smallest few are the exceptions, of course). The holder has each slot labelled and it seems sturdy as well, made of a dense plastic, that should withstand the removal and replacement of the wrenches. As more and more items are secured with Allen bolts, this kit is a must-have for any tool box.

But this is an especially great kit! I got these for my lab, where I am constantly misplacing keys and other tools but I really hope I can stay organized enough with this kit so it remains complete at all times. The fact that both the keys and the plastic holder are marked with the sizes (and the keys have the brand name on them as well) will definitely make it easier to know where they belong. The plastic holder they are in opens up and the hinge is very solid. The keys themselves are great quality as well; very happy with this kit.

To me what sets apart a good Allen wrench set for a not so good one is the storage. When you must take a tool out to check the size a lot of time it takes a couple of tries, when you don't put them back in right away you end up losing them (or at least I do). I really appreciate that with this set you can spin the short end out to check the size before pulling it out to use it. (My other sets the storage was the same shape as the head, so they did not spin.) End the small sizes in front have a hinge that allow you to do this. The chamfered heads are also a huge plus with the fastener you’re working with has some damage.

Each wrench is clearly labeled with its size, so there’s no need to guess or fumble around trying to find the right one. The 13-piece set covers a range of metric sizes, and the L-shaped, long-arm ball end design makes it easy to reach tricky angles and tight spaces. The storage retainer is a great feature too - it keeps all the wrenches organized and provides quick access when you need to grab one on the go. It’s compact, making it easy to store in a toolbox or drawer without taking up much room. Overall, this set feels like a quality choice that’s both practical and reliable.
