I received the THURSO SURF Universal Inflatable Kayak Seat late in the season so I haven’t been able to use it on the water yet. I ordered it for my inflatable Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP). It was much bigger than expected even when it wasn’t inflated. I didn't like that it came rolled up. To use it on a SUP, make sure you have the appropriate D rings. We have two paddleboards and we can only use it on one of them. The seat cushion inflates just like your SUP. No pump is included but if you have an inflatable SUP, then you already have one. At the suggested inflation, it was much too hard.It didn't come with any instructions other than the suggested inflation on the inflation valve. It took some trial and error to figure it out. The seat cushion attaches to the back rest by Velcro. The cushion is not attached at all to the SUP. Presumably when you attach the back rest to the D rings, it will hold it in place. The seat cushion becomes quite hard when you fill it especially at the suggested maximum. Overall, It seems comfortable but it is hard to tell without actually using it on the water. Unfortunately that won't be happening for some time until the weather warms up.

I've always loved kayaking ever since I was young, and that has not changed into my adulthood. But what has changed is that I start experiencing more back pain the more I use my kayak.Concussions and other things to try and be more comfortable during my rides, but nothing really seems to stop the end of the ride being painful. When I saw this pop up, I knew I had to try it. And I'm really glad I did, as I feel like it made the guy can completely new one.Set up as a dead simple (I have a pelecan magna kayak), an extra easy to set up and take down every time with the included clips. The adjustments of the straps, along with the inflation and deflation of the bottom, meant that I was able to get the perfect setup. I will say that I added an extra little hand towel rolled up as extra lumbar support too.How do you say only last around an hour to per ride, and my last trip of the season I was able to do a full day out.If you have a kayak, and are conscious of ergonomics, this should be a guaranteed add to yours!

I ordered this for my spare stand up paddle board and it works great! once my daughter is old enough to solo on her own board with me on my board, this will make it more comfortable for her. The disign is just like the foam seats I have for my 11.5' board so connecting it is easy and fast. Inflating this seat is an extra step, but it is much more comfortable than the foam seat on my main board. It provides great back support and is very durable. The design is great and matches my spare board nicely.

My wife loves to paddle board and she likes it when I go with her. I don't mind but I like to have a relaxing paddle and carry a cooler. I got an inflatable kayak for the convenience and price. So far everything is great, except for the seat... The inflatable seat that came with this kayak is absolutely miserable. It only comes about halfway up my back and is zero support. My old back can stand it for about an hour and a half before it's just not worth staying on the water. I'm not sure I like the sport enough to shell out a grand for a new kayak, just to get a better seat, so this Thurso Surf Universal Kayak Seat with Back Support seemed like a good option. I LOVE IT!! The difference is amazing. The support is good and the cushion is as soft or firm as you want depending on the air pressure. This is $80 well spent and if I decide to get a more expensive kayak? I can take the seat with me. I had to play with mounting points for the straps to get it just right, but that was really not a big deal. I'm very happy with this order.

This is a really good paddle board seat, but your board may not have enough d loops to accommodate it. You may have to add some additional d loops, I had to add 2 to my board to accommodate this seat. It’s not difficult and there’s a lot of instructionals out there.Overall quality is great. It has a drop stitch inflatable pad which I prefer as it elevates your bottom a few inches above the board for a more comfortable stance. Other seats I’ve used just have a thin foam pad that give that sitting on the floor feeling.Overall I think this is a really good quality seat, definitely recommend.
