I replaced a set of Rotosound 6 strings 130 for this lighter set, and it makes such a difference in the playability of a 6-string bass. The tone is exactly the same, maybe a little brighter, but it didn't lose the weight or mid-tones. I was concerned that it would sound bright and light, like other sets at 126 ish, but this one didn't lose any weight.I play with very low action, heavy Metal European style, very fast, and these strings are much easier on the fingers than the 'regular' scale.I have been using Rotosound for years, now on my 4-string bass. Never looked back.The package is plastic, sealed with a Humidity collector inside, to keep the string fresh; very minimal package, not envelope for each string, but that is OK for me. less paper, more trees ;)

First string snapped for me when I changed strings on my bass. I am no newbie and I didn't fumble. I have played A LOT with Roto Sound for years and years and I normally like the sound and quality. But this string just snapped on my bass while I was tuning for the first time. It seems to me that there must be a quality problem in this particular string set. I have never tried anything like this before. - The sound and the price is nice, though.

Son blanditas y están muy bien. Son de calibre pequeño.Tienen buen sonido. Más cómodas para usar tapping.Si hay alguna pega es que no tienen mucha durabilidad pero como casi todas las cuerdas de este tipo.

I bought these strings to allow me to tune my bass UP half a step and retain the same tension on the neck as standard tuning, and they do that job perfectly.Ordinarily I use D'addario pro steels and while I can't tell a difference between them tonally, both super bright, the Rotosounds are slightly more rough to the touch. But as D'addario don't supply a set in this gauge I'm more than happy with my purchase, knowing I don't have to resort to expensive custom gauges.I'm just buying a second set as I'm swapping my basses around.Both of my 6 strings are 35" scale.
