I am having building work done and wanted a PoE doorbell. Inexplicably, I didn't terminate the wire with a female plug when I had the chance, and then the builder foam filled everything so the wire wasn't moving, but i had plenty of excess.I did a rehearsal on some wire in the house and everything worked great. To the other reviewer who said it didn't work - I wonder if they stripped the wire back, this is not like an RJ45 plug/crimp, it requires unsheathing the copper. The wires inserted easily with the spring loaded controls and held them very firmly.After I carefully and slowly enlarged the recess hole in the brick, checking this gizmo fit in. , I had to get to the cutting and left plenty of the ethernet wires available. Network purists may burn me at the stake for this but it worked perfectly. Then I was able to make another frankenstein cable without any outer sheathing between 2 RJ45s that gave me the play i needed and provided the RJ45 PoE into the Unifi doorbell.This little gizmo was a lifesaver for me. I ordered several other products at the same time to try and get something that works and this was by far the smallest and most useful.The final thing I will now do once it arrives is using some heat tubing to seal it all up.Very happy, if not already obvious.

Die "Steckdose" funktioniert sehr gut und ist leicht zu handhaben. Insbesondere gefällt mir die Möglichkeit, Kabel leicht umzustecken, wenn die Belegung nicht sicher bekannt ist (z. Bsp. Videoüberwachung).

I bought these as an easy alternative to fiddly keystones. Unfortunately they simple don't work. I tried setting two up on opposite ends of some ethernet cable and testing the whole thing with a cable test. Several hours later after much redoing and retesting no joy.
