My machine made a noice shortly after I purchased it. I contacted Honeyguardian and they told me to buy this and that they would give me the money back.The installing can indeed use a manual. I read the other review and succeeded this way. Now the noice stopped.

I bought this based on the single review that was posted at the time for this product. I was looking for a solution to the terrible "moaning" noise that our new dual cat feeder had started making after just a few weeks of use. When the box first came I was disappointed to see that it only contained 2 pieces, not the 3 shown in the diagram on Amazon. Upon further inspection it appeared that the top 2 sections were attached together. before being shipped. Three other things that you need to keep in mind when replacing these parts. First, there are no instructions with this product. At first this may seem like a simple install, but there are two other things you need to be aware of or you will not have a great experience. Second, make sure you do not mix the old parts with the new parts, to the naked eye they are appear to be exactly identical. Something is definitely different but I sure couldn't tell exactly what by looking at them. If you don't keep them apart you will find it impossible to tell which is which. Third, the ring can line up with the screw holes at the bottom of the food hopper in more than one way, but only one way is correct. When the turning mechanism on the bottom of the food hopper is fully assembled, there are two plastic pins in the bottom that have to line up with holes in the base of the feeder. If you do not install that ring correctly the top will not fit on the base unit. It took a couple of tries before I got it right. Here is where some instructions or markings on the new part would have been helpful. But having said all of that, it has been several weeks now and the noise has not returned. it is definitely worth it. But I wish the company would make this part available for free for everyone who owns this model of cat feeder.

This part was sent to me after I had bought the HoneyGuaridan Automatic Cat Feeder. It had worked silently for a couple of months and then, suddenly, it started making a screeching noise when serving the portions. It was a loud and annoying noise. I reached out to the manufacturer, and they were extremely helpful. They acknowledged the problem right away. They sent me a diagram on how to temporarily alleviate it until a replacement part (this one) was manufactured. Once the replacement part was ready, they asked me to purchase it with the condition that they would refund me the money (only about $7) and they did. I am extremely satisfied with their customer service and quality of the product.
