These patches look like real suede but are much more practical as they are washable therefore ideal for a cashmere cardigan. They ironed on well but I used a tee towel over the top to protect the cashmere from scorching and had to go over the edges a couple of times to make sure they were attached. The punched holes are helpful for sewing the edges but I would have liked them nearer the edfe. In the end I sewed the edges with blanket stitch to make a feature of them. I did consider using a contrasting colour wool but couldn’t decide on the colour so stuck to plain grey in the end. I am pleased with the result and my cardigan has a new lease of life.
