I ordered this thinking it might be a touch expensive when all I needed was one sail needle. But when it arrived I felt rather happy with the acquisition as there are a number of different types of needles in the package, each of which would come in handy on the trail. Paracord inner strings are somewhat too thick for conventional sewing needles and repairing tent, bivvy bags, foot prints or tarps works better with a sail needle. This is a decent supply of whatever is needed for field repairs to any of your kit.Later I also bought an emergency fishing kit on amazon and it had 4 sail needles in it, already had more than I would need from this pack, so the bonus needles will be packed on or attahed to a sheath of one of my knives... gives me a backup needle or two.
