This metal pizza peel has been a great addition to my kitchen. Assembly was very straightforward. Just remove the three screws, insert the handle into the groove on the peel, and screw them back in. You could use a regular screwdriver, but I used my impact driver to get them extra tight. The screws didn’t strip or have any issues, which was a nice surprise.The textured grip on the handle feels comfortable and secure in hand. Using the peel to slide a pizza in and out of the oven is smooth and easy. It is also great to be able to keep some distance from the heat. Before getting this, I used to pull the oven rack out a bit and awkwardly slide the pizza onto a cutting board. It worked, but I definitely had some close calls with dropping the pizza or accidentally touching the hot metal rack with the plastic cutting board.One thing to note: while the top of the peel is smooth, the bottom has a bit of roughness from the stamping process. Most people probably wouldn’t even notice it, but I felt it while putting it together. Not a problem, just something I picked up on.If I had one small "complaint", it would be the size. It is a large tool, and finding a place to store it has been tricky in my kitchen. Hanging it on the wall wasn’t an option for us, so it ended up in a large drawer, which works but isn’t ideal. That may not be an issue for everyone, but where you'll store it is something to consider before purchasing.Overall, this is a sturdy, well-made peel that makes pizza night easier and safer. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased this for my pizza oven when making flat breads. The ad says it was stainless steel, so I was expecting stainless steel, however it is coated with a non-stick coating. I probably should have read the description better, so heads up if you are looking for uncoated stainless peel. The coating looks as though it should hold up well, but we shall see after a few scrapes on the clay cooking surface... I'll post back if there is an issue, but so far so good.I gave this four stars instead of five, because of the way the parts fit together. The peel has a nice weight to it and the handle feels hefty and balanced, however it comes in pieces (peel/handle/screws, so there is a slight gap where the handle intersects with the peel on the bottom. My concern is food will get trapped in the gap over time and will need to be disassembled to keep clean. Other than that, it is nice looking and should do the job.

I got this to lift briskets from my smoker and it’s perfect. All metal construction and ample space on the handle to lift with both hands. The anodized red color is visually stunning. This thing is huge and if it can handle an 18-20lb beef brisket it should be able to handle any pizza you put in front of it. The paddle is just the right thickness to easily slide between my grill grates and the meat without damaging my bark and I assume it will slide just as easily under a freshly baked pizza. Works incredibly well, would rate even higher if I could.

This Crosson 12x16 pizza peel is massive! I was impressed with how large and well-made it is. I recently bought a Piezano pizza oven and the two wooden peels that came with it were not easy to work with. Every time that I tried to build the pizza on the peels and slide it apart onto the stone, it would easily tear the pizza dough. I wanted one large pizza peel and this Crosson pizza peel is perfect. The red handle on it is very attractive, and it feels like a professional level kitchen accessory. The only down size is that it is rather large, so I hang it on a hook in my pantry, but the good part is that you can remove the three screws that connect the handle to the peel easily for more compact storage when not in use.
