This set of car handles is nice. There are 2 handles. One goes around the window. This one is made of a rope material that is padded where you grip it. Seams to be made well. The other goes in the door latch to give you a steady place to grip when standing up from the car seat. This one is made of metal wrapped in a rubbery material. Both handles have their uses both are very helpful. Well worth the cost.

All the handle are pretty much the same - some have blades to cut the seat belts after an accident; most can break windows as a solution to escape the vehicle if you're trapped. This set came wit a strap to attach to a door to help you get in or out of a bigger vehicle like a truck. That seems to be more sensible since I drive a pickup truck.Getting into or out of anything gets more complicated as you get older. That applies to me too. I'm looking forward to some help to get in or out of my truck.

A very useful set of 2 aids for getting in & out of the car.The handle which fits into the side of the door frame is very sturdy, with an easy-grip handle. I think, from a different one I reviewed, my car must have a smaller 'loop' than most makes, so it isn't a perfect fit for my car and can be wobbled a bit, however when I'm actually using it there's no wobble at all. Normally I have pull myself up with one hand on the door, the other on the steering wheel; it takes up valuable time and is difficult. This makes it so much easier to get out of the car! It can be stored in the door pocket and is very useful that it doubles up as an emergency escape device.The other aid with the strap is interesting too - I don't have a handle attached to my door but do have one at the top of the door frame, so have attached it to there. The height is adjustable. To my delight, I found this helps no end too! You can just keep it attached, or unclip if necessary, it's lightweight but has a solid handle which is easy to grasp. Having never tried one of these before I can't believe how much easier it makes things and will be keeping mine in place at all times to make it so much easier to get in & out of the car.I like that the set has 2 aids included, as without easy access to OT services people with disabilities and health conditions are so often left to purchase and try out a range of products themselves, which can be both time consuming and costly. I think this set is good value for money, and enables you to try 2 options. You could either use both handles in conjunction with each other, one for each hand to pull up on, or put them by different car seats depending on where you're sitting. Extremely effective, very useful.

Some of these supports have small hard hand-grips. They can be uncomfortable to use and make it more difficult for those with mobility issues. Some also don't fit the door-lock staple too well. This on fits mine just fine on an Audi A4. The rubber end cap means no scuffing of the lack plate either. You just slot it into position and the person exiting the vehicle can wrench on it for better purchase and support when standing out.I have to say that with some models of car it might risk damaging the paintwork. It also wobbles if pulled on when the person is getting out. It's secure enough when pushed down to take the person's weight, but if pulled on as they go to rise it can wobble.It obviously juts out a bit into the car door frame a bit. There's no getting around that issue with this design. It means it does restrict the room they can alight the vehicle a little.It does help but you should be aware of the drawbacks too. If the person mainly has issues in taking their own weight it might be ideal.
