NGK Y9001AS Glow Plug

Was quoted £380 to replace my faulty glow plugs, my warrantee company claimed that they aren't covered as they classify it as wear and tear despite me only owning the vehicle for 9 months and doing 6000 miles.So after searching on YouTube for any videos I purchased these and a Lazer 9mm Glow Plug Socket and a small torque wrench.With more than a little trepidation I sprayed the plugs for 2 days with WD40 Penetrant (not std WD40) and found an extension opened the bonnet and popped off the caps on the plugs. I gingerly applied pressure with the wrench and after a heart stopping jerk the old ones came out with no problem. I used copper slip grease on the threads of the new plugs screwed them in and carefully tightened to the correct torque, put on the caps and started the van.I had to reset the fault code (Topdon reader from amazon) and now no warning lights and my van starts 1st time and runs so much better and I saved £360 over the cost of getting the garage to do it. I always used NKG plugs in my motorbikes so I new they are a quality manufacturer.
