For a fraction of the price these seem like they will do the job pretty well the same. Slightly different in size on the strap-side but the guitar side is all the same. Casting is slightly less smooth but for the price I can't imagine who might care.Pull action feels just as smooth as my Schallers. Some people have issues with compatibility, they may be using the newer version of Schaller lockers, all of mine are the old version and they work great.

These are imposters that are just ever too small to fit what they are obviously trying to knock off. Get real ones from Fender or Schaller. If you want to be able to move straps between your guitars without thinking about it - these are garbage.

If you are like me, you like having strap locks on all your guitars and straps. I used to buy the original Schaller strap locks when they were $15. Now they are more than $50 locally. These Musiclily strap locks are very well made. Some reviewers claim the strap part of the lock won't fit on a Schaller strap button or that the Musiclily buttons won't work with Schaller strap pieces, but I've now purchased two sets and they fit all my Schaller sets, probably 7 or 8 different sets, just fine with no issues at all. The sizing is identical. Some big upgrades for me are: the Musiclily strap locks have a longer threaded shank than the Schallers meaning they can more easily accommodate thicker strap ends. The washer is significantly wider and thicker creating more clamping force behind the nut meaning the lock is less likely to loosen over time. I like the chamfered washer and nut. I really like the slightly larger head of the pull pin, it's easier to grip and makes taking the strap off and putting it on the guitar quicker and easier. I am all around totally satisfied with the Musiclily strap locks. I buy various colors and chose the gold ones this time because they were actually the cheapest. A tip when putting any strap lock of this style on the strap is to thread the shank into the strap until the strap pulls down flat against the U shaped part of the lock. This way the washer will press flat against the strap and sandwich it properly between the washer and body of the lock. The reason many people have problems with their strap lock nuts coming loose is they don't insure the strap is as far down on the shank as possible before tightening the nut and there ends up being too much material sticking up under the washer and it loosens itself over a shorter time with regular use. Always check and retighten the nuts if necessary on the strap regularly to insure trouble free use for a long long time. If you are really concerned simply buy a small tube of lock tight on amazon and put a drop on the threaded shank before putting the nut on. You can still get it off if needed but it is far less likely to work it's way loose.
