Smaller than I imagined,...It is the same length as my thumb. ( should've checked out the dimensions ). Clip doesn't open wide enough to attach to my guitar head. However,..you can attach it to your shirt or the lapel of your jacket.It is a clever little thing and I'll keep it as I really haven't had the time to put it thru its paces.
