This router is very functional however, it is very difficult to set up if you don't have deep networking knowledge. That said, it is very flexible if you know what you are doing. Unfortunately, this unit failed at 16 months. The unit was working fine and completely dead one day with no configuration adjustments. The vendor, Electropedia LLC, does not honour the 2-year warranty.Buyer beware.

Works flawlessly in switch mode. In router mode, it requires some skill to configure. Everything you'd expect on more up-range routers is available here but the interface does nothing to protect you from it or from yourself. If you're a capable network tech this can be a workhorse. That said, some rules/settings do require enough processing to cause some noticeable slowdowns - as soon as you create a rule or config that requires advanced processing, the unit does lose some throughput for that traffic. That said, it's amazing router for the price.I have no complaints for these as my requirements are quite simple, so I use the RouterOS but only ask of it a little more than a managed switch might do.I'll buy more.

Prodotto in sè ottimo, ma purtroppo è andato in tilt dopo 5 giorni. Ora sto facendo la rsstituzione e ne ho comprato uno nuovo.Buon servizio Amazon, peccato che intanto lo hanno alzato di prezzo e la sostituzione mi costa 40 Euro in piu.....

Come tutti i dispositivi Mikrotik anche questo switch si contraddistinge per l'ottimo rapporto qualià/prezzo e grazie alla possibilità di fare il boot sia con swOS che con RouterOS la flessibilità è garantita.Noi lo abbiamo usato con RouterOS e con esso è possibile configurare liberamente ognuna delle 26 porte (24 ethernet + 2 SFP), definire regole di firewall, limitare la banda, fare NAT, routing, fare DNS caching e tanto, tanto altro...Un solo appunto: come tutti gli apparati Mikrotik lo consigliamo solamente a chi ha la necessaria dimestichezza con le configurazioni, altrimenti è meglio orientarsi verso altri tipo di apparati.

Ottimo prodotto ma non per tutti. Se si vuole fare qualcosa in più del semplice switch ci si deve addentrare in tonnellate di maschie configurazioni da vergare tramite script o non se ne parla. Quindi o siete veri appassionati ed esperti e avete esigenze particolari questo è il prodotto che fa per voi, altrimenti orientatevi verso qualcosa di più user-friendly.
