Love them and stylish

These sandals tend to start out feeling a little narrow if you have a wider foot, which I do, but they break in and fit really well after a bit. I had another pair that fit great once they were a little more broken in and I suspect these will as well. They feel a bit more supportive than other sandals that I own, mostly Birkenstocks, as the sole is thicker and I like that they don't stretch as much as Birks so they don't flop around as much. I love the braided strap, makes the sandal look a little dressier.

You can always trust the Mephisto brand. Was stylish and offered support.

I sandali Mephisto sono di ottima qualità. Ma una volta indossati mi hanno procurato una escoriazioni sulle dita vicino l alluce. Per questo preferivo il vecchio modello. Inoltre io avevo scelto come colore l argento e invece è arrivato un old pink molto bello ma non era quello scelto da me.

I previously owned a pair of Mephisto Old Pink Helen's and needed to replace them. Mephisto, the manufacturer retained the colour description and name "Old Pink" for the 2020 version, but changed the actual colour. The 2020 colour is copper, absolutely nothing like pink. As images on line can distort colours I totally trusted Mephisto's name and description "Old Pink". I was horrified when they arrived. I complained to Mephisto who were extremely rude and couldn't have cared less. I was totally shocked by Mephisto's appalling customer service - the worst I have ever experienced. At the same time, I also contacted the retailer Brandissimo (in Italy) and also complained to them. They said they would refund the money - but I would have to pay for the tracked postage / return from the UK to Italy - which would be roughly half the cost of the sandals. When consumers order on line we expect colour descriptions to be reasonably accurate, most especially because electronic images can distort colours. If you buy something called Black Sandals you don't expect to receive White sandals. I am not responsible for this mistake - but I am utterly appalled by the attitude of both Brandissimo and Mephisto.

Grundsätzlich liebe ich dieses Mephisto Modell, besitze es in verschiedenen Farben und finde es extrem bequem. Von dieser spezifischen Farbe (Gold/Pink) ist allerdings entschieden abzuraten. Die Farbe, die eigentlich sehr hübsch aussieht, ist aber in einer dünnen Schicht über braunes Leder aufgetragen und reibt sich extrem leicht ab. Vor allem an Stellen wo man schwitzt (zwischen den Zehen) reibt sich die Farbe in kürzester Zeit ab. Und wenn man irgendwo ankommt kratzt sie sich sehr schnell ab. Innerhalb von ein paar Wochen haben die Schuhe ausgesehen als hätte ich sie schon seit Jahren - voller abgetragener Farbstellen. Sehr schade und auch etwas unseriös vom Hersteller. 2 Sterne weil die Schuhe trotzdem bequem bleiben aber die Farbe ist Mist.
