I'd forgotten the size "small" is more for perhaps a corgi sized pup and not a little six pound chihuahua, but my bigger chihuahua and the little one do play with it. It's a great back up when one of their Extra small Kongs go missing for a peanut butter treat. Kongs are a fantastic "pacifier" for our dogs, and they are a toy I can count on for consistency in quality. I appreciate that more than I can put into words in today's world of recalls for toys and foods that are allegedly "safe, healthy and good" for our furkids. Kong is a name I have come to trust with my dogs life when it comes to "loosely monitored playtime". I can depend on their products much like a mother can trust a Gerber pacifier for their infant.
