I thought this looked like a lovely kit for a beginner, but find the needle is far too big and makes large holes. Also, when pulling the needle back through to the front, the yard comes with it. I’m very disappointed with the product, but may work with a much smaller needle.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition. The contents were as discribed. However it is smaller than I imagined

There is everything in this kit to complete the project, punch needle, threader, darning needle, hoop, canvas and yarn. The yarn is nice and soft and I like the colours. There is a sketchy information sheet that is quite useless. It contains a QR code which leads you to a video that shows someone needle punching-no instructions on how to thread the punch. I watched YouTube videos for that. The front side of the canvas is also the finished side. You can turn it over and use the back as the display side if you want, it will have a rug like texture. I think the size of this punch is too large, it really seems to chew up the canvas. I think it would be much better with a smaller punch. If you make a mistake or don’t like the look of it you will not be able to remove it. I’m not fond of the hoop, I just couldn’t get the canvas tight enough. Not sure if I was doing something wrong…but I was still able to manage. I believe it says in the product description that it takes about an hour to finish-it does move along quite quickly. This was my first try at needle punching. I like that it is quick and it is actually quite enjoyable. This is a good kit for that purpose, a beginner and for some practice. One other thing is that the only picture of the owls you will receive in the kit is very tiny and not very usable as a guide. For $17 it is a good introduction to the craft.

This is a nice all-in-one punch needle kit. It has everything you need: cloth, yarn, plastic hoop, plastic punch needle, darning needle, and threader. I find with plastic hoops that the cloth needs to be tightened more often (with wood, there seems to be more friction holding it in place), and you need the cloth to be "drum tight" to punch properly.This is a great beginner craft that is really quick and easy to learn how to do and very satisfying to complete. The finished product looks impressive even if you're a beginner. It is easy to fix any mistakes, as you can pull out the yarn, cut it, and add new yarn without messing up your project.The kit comes in a clear plastic bag, so it's probably not the best choice for gifting, since it's not immediately clear what it is (unless they are already familiar with punch needle).Great craft for de-stressing after a long day, and it's reasonably priced.

Zur Einordnung meiner Bewertung: Ich kann nicht stricken und auch nicht sticken – aber ich mag Eulen und probiere gerne neue Sachen aus! Also war dieses Set für mich ein toller Zeitvertreib. Das Setup war einfach, und die Anleitung dazu war gut zu verstehen, aber als es ums Punch-Needle-Sticken ging, wurde es doch etwas undurchsichtig, wie genau das funktionieren soll. Ich war etwas verwirrt und musste ein wenig herumprobieren, bevor ich den Dreh einigermaßen raus hatte. Trotzdem hat es an einigen Stellen nicht so gut funktioniert, vor allem wenn sich der nachgeführte Faden auch nur minimal gespannt hat. Ich habe deshalb immer wieder mit einer Hand die Schlaufen auf der Rückseite fixiert, damit diese sich nicht wieder lösen. Der Garn ist super weich, und haptisch ist das Resultat auf jeden Fall super!
