The base is heavy, which is good and bad. Hard to transport, but the heavy base is reassuring when the stand is loaded. I like the minimal footprint which helps prevent people tripping over light stands in public places, and I’ve also placed it on top of counters and tables which would have been impossible with traditional light stands. I like it so much I purchased a second unit. Not for every shoot, but useful as a problem solver in many situations.

Good product with one flaw, the rubber base does not stay on and is short on covering the round base by about 1.5”, see picture. I took the rubber base off as mine sits on a carpet floor. Would have given this 5-Stars except for the base. This holds my Sony Alpha One Camera with a 16-35mm G-Master Lens attached so the weight works for me and the monopole manages it. Mounted the camera and lens to the monopole and elevated it 7’ in the air. Results, some wabble especially at 7’ but at 40” for still life table shots not bad especially when you use the camera timer. I own three of these for my photography studio getting rid of tripods avoiding trip and falls and clutter.
