è vuotoThe EWP, steel string piccolo acoustic guitar combines the compact size of a ukulele with the musical sophistication of a guitar. Steel strings and a 42mm nut width make a guitar player feel immediately at home. Add a graceful compact Florentine cutaway and you've got a little guitar that'll go a long way — for practice, jamming or late night road warrior relaxation.

Good for the price. Tuned to guitarlele not normal guitar, which works well. Easy to handle with a good sound.

The instrument I received was constructed to a very good standard. Fret ends were tidy and the binding looked really good. The sound could best be described as bright and jangly. A basic unpadded gig bag was included in the price too.As supplied, the string action was way too high, requiring considerable finger pressure to get clean chords at the first few frets. However after using nut files to reduce the string height at the nut, the guitar became much easier to play. It stayed in tune very well.Scale length is 435mm (17 1/8"). String spacing at the (42mm) nut is 36mm (from low A to high A) and is 47mm at the bridge. This is a seriously narrow neck. Also, the saddle looks to be borrowed from a regular sized guitar, so the strings don't quite sit in the right places.I have large hands and found the instrument very challenging to play chords at first (even though I also play mandolin). It required a bit of relearning to find the best way to voice chords without choking the strings. A different story for solos, the piccolo guitar plays like a dream. The reduced scale length means the string tension is high compared to regular sized guitar so it may be less than ideal as a child's learner instrument.Overall, a well made guitar. I was impressed. The sound is bright. The satin sheen, open-pore finish looks excellent as does the binding. The only down side for me was the extremely narrow neck and string spacing, so I give this guitar 4 stars. If the guitar had a regular string spacing (e.g 44mm nut etc) I would give it 5 stars. However, if you possess small, slender hands, this instrument may already be perfect for you.
