Ibanez is pleased to present the new ES3 Echo Shifter. The pedal is equipped with both analog and digital delay modes. The analog setting provides a warm, natural tone with a delay time of between 40ms and 600ms, and unlike other digital pedals which simply simulate analog delay, the ES3 is equipped with actual analog circuitry. The digital mode offers longer delay times all the way up to 1500ms. The ES3 is currently the only pedal on the market which provides the choice between true analog and digital delay in one pedal.   Users can also choose between two different input levels, line and instrument. Most electric guitars will function best on the instrument setting, while some higher output instruments will perform better using the line level. Keyboards and other higher output pedals running before the ES3 will also benefit from the line level setting. The ES3 also includes a new modulation speed control that offers greater control in tailoring the effect to the player’s specific preferences. Unlike on the ES2, where the Oscillation function needed to be engaged by hand with a mini toggle switch, this same function can be engaged simply by stepping on and holding the footswitch on the right hand side. This allows for quickly changing the delay quality and texture mid-performance. The pedal carries over the fader delay time control, delay tap switch, as well as oscillation and modulation modes from the ES2. The combined effect of these upgrades is more usable pedal with greater tonal versatility and enhanced musical potential

I love this pedal’s sound so much for bass. I’ve owned 2 of them. The problem is neither has lasted for more than a couple years. The electronics fried on both pedals during what I would consider totally normal wear, which rendered both dead. None of my other pedals have suddenly died like this pedal has. It’s a bummer because it’s such a great sounding pedal. If anyone has recommendations for a pedal that produces the same sound, let me know! Until then, I’ll keep my 2nd dead pedal to remember the good times we had and pray for a miracle that suddenly turns it back on. 🖤

I owned an Ibanez DE7 that I absolutely loved, but it got destroyed in a flood. After extensive research, I stumbled across the Echo Shifter and I was absolutely blown away. Not only do I like it more than the DE7, I prefer the capability it allows to create clean delay tones as well as infinite possibilities for oscillations and space noises. It also has a really cool retro design. I highly recommend this pedal. It's destined to become a sought after classic.
