How to Draw: Woodland Animals: In Simple Steps

This is a good book for anyone interested in learning to draw animals. It contains a variety of outdoor animals shown in a step-by-step format. My biggest criticism is that the drawings are printed in a light gray ink. This is the latest fad in the publishing industry (and I personally hate it). It is a struggle to see anything and I'm at a loss to understand the point of pale gray ink. I thought the point is to be able to see things. Otherwise, this is a good reference and study guide for anyone interested in capturing animals on paper.

Nice book and easy directions

Another good book for getting back into drawing. It is helpful to get you looking into basic shapes first , to aid in sketching out the animals

How To Draw Woodland Animals in simple steps is a great book to learn from. The steps are very easy giving a basic understanding of how to make simple shapes turn into a realistic looking animal. This book gives entry level lessons as far as the drawing goes, but you do need to have a basic knowledge of drawing tools like erasers and blenders to finish the project as shown in the instructions. I am just learning but had a 101 drawing course many years ago, so I knew and fortunately kept all the drawing tools associated with this class. The rabbit I drew in the first lesson turned out really well considering I had never drawn one before. I have recommended this book to several people in the first month that I have had it. I am happy with my purchase!
