Very sturdy storage unit. However there was 2 big scratches on the side of the box which we noticed after assembling it.

HOMCOM Ottoman Storage Box Chest in white came well packed ready for assembly. The boards are well cut and fairly accurately machined, however the accompanying metal hardware is not brilliant. The camlocks are not very strong (a soft brittle alloy), and many deform or break when locking. The metal dowels are screwed into plastic inserts which gives less confidence in their ability to withstand the test of time, and by using these types of dowel it's impossible to get an accurate fitting which further complicates the issues with the camlocks. The hinges are reasonable for this type of furniture, and the single resistive stay provided works quite well (however the screw positions allow the stay to bend in the wrong direction as there's no limiter on the device). It's an economical solution but could do with a little refinement.

For the price this is really good value and you can store quite a lot in there, looks good, sturdy as wellHappy with purchase

I purchased this as additional storage in the bedroom, like a bench to go at the end of the bed to put the blankets and extra bedding in.The instructions that it comes with are not the greatest and can confuse people who do not regularly build flat packs. The pictures do not show all the steps, which is the biggest issue I found with it. However, as I am familiar with building flat pack (thank you that Swedish shop) I was able to look at what parts I had an know what went where. It also claims that you need 2 people and it will take around 1 hour to put together. I worked on this alone and it did not take me that length of time. When completed, it is heavy and if you need to carry it, then you will need 2 people. I put it together in the room it was going to live in so did not need to move it around.As for the quality, it is very sturdy and does not wobble or feel like it is going to break apart. It is spacious enough for me to fit in plenty of blankets, extra pillowed and a good few sets of bedding. I am really impressed with the size of it and how much I can actually fit in there.Overall while this may not be the easiest to put together depending on building flatpack experience, this was simple for me. I would recommend this product to others.
