Signal transmission: When using Cat5e/6/7 cables, this extender performs a superb job of transmitting HDMI signals up to 164 feet/50 metres. The different network cable types provide various transmission distances, which is versatile and useful.Local output: I appreciate the local output feature that allows me to connect it directly to a monitor. This makes monitoring the remote display much more convenient and is ideal for various applications, including home security systems.POC power supply: The power over cable (POC) support is a great addition. Connecting the power supply at the receiving end powers both TX and RX units. It ensures there is no video loss or delay during transmission.Resolution compatibility: The device supports a resolution of 1920*1080@60Hz and is compatible with various other resolutions, providing flexibility in different setups. However, here's why it's not a perfect 5-star rating:Compatibility issue: The USB-A port is only compatible with version 1.1. If the USB version is higher, it's not supported. This limitation can be a drawback for those using higher USB versions for their devices.Limited resolution: For its price, I was hoping for support for higher resolutions. It's a bit disappointing that it only works at 1080p/60Hz. If it could handle higher resolutions, it would be even more versatile and suitable for a wider range of applications. In summary, the HDMI extender is a reliable and efficient device for extending HDMI signals, but the USB compatibility limitation prevented it from receiving a perfect 5-star rating. If you're aware of the compatibility issue and it doesn't affect your setup, this extender can be a valuable addition to your system.

I've incorporated this extender into my home office arrangement, and it has proven to be a worthwhile investment. It effectively extends HDMI and USB signals over long distances, offering flexibility in configuring my workstation. The support for HD 1080P resolution guarantees sharp video quality. Additionally, the loop-out and POC features contribute to its convenience and versatility.

Translate: Deceptive (and therefore misleading). The stream is compressed in HD before coming out in 4K. In addition, there is no dolby output, only stereo. Forget about 5.1 7.1 etc…So it’s neither real 4K, nor even comparable to an HDMI extension since there is audio and video loss.Yet another unacceptable product title.

For months, now, I've been looking for a way to use my PC remotely with the least amount of latency! For a little while I used Parsec. It's about as good as you get as far as wireless remote desktop services, and it's one of the only plug-and-play solutions that will utilize LAN/WLAN to work as a remote desktop. I wanted something that I could use to have my computer run on a screen in my bedroom, or my living room. Usually you'd just use a long HDMI cable, but I needed audio and USB data communication for a keyboard and mouse.I hooked this up to a 50ft ethernet cable and ran it into my bedroom. I don't mind wires, so long as there is a noticeable advantage over wireless remote desktops. Let me tell you, though, there is a HUGE difference. It's like your computer is 5 feet from your screen. I hooked this up to a monitor in my bedroom and spent the night playing video games, just dumbfounded at how cool this was. There was some artifacts here and there, but the signal was being transmitted on a 50ft cable. The only issue with this is, as far as I know, you can't run the transmitter into your ethernet switch/router and hook the receiver up to another port. The network noise seems to keep the receiver and transmitter from talking to each other, although there may be a way to make this work.If this technology can be refined, there are a lot of different possibilities. You could set your PC in your closet, near your router, maybe, and run a KVM over ethernet system to multiple different monitors in your home, allowing you to do anything on your office computer, or play anywhere on your Xbox/PS5.I think the only thing keeping this from being practical, though, is that there are only two USB ports. That's fine for a keyboard and mouse, but I find myself needing to plug in lots of different things at once. The other problem is that the video transfer is capped at 1080P, at 60fps. I'm unsure as to how much you can cram into a single ethernet cable, but until USB-C is widespread enough to be routed through new construction homes, this might just be your best bet for remote desktop solutions, at least in your home.I know there are commercial solutions that have massive powerhouses that multiple people use at one time, but that requires a ton of specialized, expensive equipment. For residential and hobbyist purposes, this will be perfect.I'm thoroughly impressed with how plug-and-play ready this is, and I'm excited to use it more.
