Arrived today fast sealed plastic pouch.Tusq products deserve a 5 star.And actually should be a standard on all guitars $250.00 and up! Instead of inferior sound dampining - tone robbing cheap plastic. Guranteed to crack / chipThis tusk PO-1728-00 arrived with a chip in the small "e" slot. You cannot tell while in the factory pakage. So TUSQ. Has very poor Quality control letting this acustic nut leave the factory with a highly visible blemish / defect.

I was a little nervous about changing a guitar nut on my own, but I'm glad I did because it saved me a lot of money. Perfect friction fit directly into the slot, no need for glue but a small drop is recommended anyway. No sanding needed on the height or width either. Definitely a improvement over the stock plastic nut. Only issue was a small burr on the flat face that I shaved off with a razor in one shot. Absolutely recommend this item. Used on yamaha fg720s with 12-53 gauge 80/20 strings.

I was forced to replace the nut on my Yamaha LL11 acoustic guitar since the original one split while restringing. Can't believe what an incredible difference it made in tone and sustain! "Lows" are still deep, but "highs" are more crisp and clean. Installation was a breeze, considering that I have never done it before. Just be sure to do your research in regard to proper sizing. This particular nut fit my guitar perfectly with no modification necessary.
