This DIY diamond headband kit is a fantastic craft set for children who love sparkly and creative accessories. It has 66 pieces, and includes colourful headbands, glittering butterfly decorations, bows, and gemstones, allowing children to design and personalise their own unique hair accessories. The materials appear bright and eye-catching, and the kit encourages creativity and hands-on fun. Would be good to have on hand for playdates, birthday parties, presents, or solo crafting time. Having had several similar kits that were all much the same in terms of types of items, I admit I didn't read the full details of this one before requesting it.As such, I was very surprised on opening it to find it came with two tubes of liquid glue rather than a sheet of glue dots for attaching the various elements.The 8 butterflies are traditional diamond art kits, but if I were making these headbands with a group of 6 children I'd probably 'lose' 2 of them before getting the kit out - you can't share 8 equally between 6. I'd also have to find trays, pens and glue blocks from other kits to allow them all to be worked on at the same time as the kit only comes with one of each- but this is something I'd expect to have to do and doesn't impact my rating. As per normal, the stones for these come in non-resealable bags, so I'd make sure to have some similar sized zip-lock bags to hand before starting. It would be nice to have those included (as they have been in some kits).There is also a limited selection of gemstones that can be used to add extra detail to the headbands and / or be added to the bow clips (and the clips are another example of 8 to be shared between 6).The headbands are all precovered with glittery paper (all 6 are different), which has been tucked round into the inside of the band. I like this as when the paper trim stops at the ends it's liable to snag and peel off when in use.The instructions for making up the bands / clips says to put the finished item to one side for 20-30 minutes to allow it to completely dry before using it. Most children I know would want to wear the end result immediately (especially when they've been able to with others) and glue dots are more likely to keep the item in the position it's placed in (as well as liquid glue being more messy to use), so I've dropped a star for this.I've also dropped a star as the number of gemstones looks to be fewer than the kits we've had before, but the price is actually slightly higher. I definitely think leftovers from early kits will be brought out so that there's a good choice for each of the headbands and bow clips.

This makes a great gift. It has lots of bits and makes many hairbands. It is super fiddly so you need a kid who doesn't get easily frustrated or maybe an older kid. It can however keep them entertained for a really long it. Fun creative toy!

This is a really nice craft set. It has enough materials in the box to design all the headbands. The headbands are comfortable to wear once decorated and it kept my daughter entertained for ages.

Loved playing with this with my little one and their friends for a party when they came over! Great quality overall to make a decent enough headband (which were comfortable according to them) and easy to put together. It's got a few accessories like charms, butterfly gems and gemstones that can be used to customise on the band itself.
