Not too bad. you can get a lot of practice done with this little thing. really the only con is that the suction cups arent very powerful so it can come undone quite easily. but if you get used to it then its okay. expensive af but very compact. The Tenuto Slim is a little bit better because the suction cups are more powerful.

First of all, please pardon me for writing in English for a product I bought in Germany. It's late and my brain just isn't capable of functioning in "that awful German language" (Mark Twain) tonight. But I digress.Let me comment at two different levels. First will be the use of this type of guitar support at all. Next I'll comment on this particular model.Guitar supports:Coming from an electrical guitar background, I played for years and years almost always standing up... or would just sit and rest the guitar on my right thigh. That worked well enough but eventually I "matured" from electrical guitar to nylon string acoustic. To make a long story short, I got tied of just playing "licks" I learned along the way and wanted to sink my teeth into fingerstyle playing on nylon strings. The goal was to learn to play songs solo (chord melody) from start to finish...That ultimately forced me to change my entire sitting posture and "technique". It seems odd now, but in 40 years of playing, using a guitar support of any kind was foreign to my thinking. I did notice however that I needed to find a technique that would hold the guitar in a fixed position without my needing to hold it tightly against my body with my right forearm or support the neck of the guitar with my left hand. Doing so really "choked" my playing...Enter the "foot rest". About 3 years ago, just on a whim, I decided to give a foot stool a try. Since the "classical players" seemed to play so well I thought it made sense. Wow.... What an immediate difference it made. It took a few days to become accustomed to resting the guitar on my left thigh rather than on my right... but in no time at all I had adapted. I'd say after about 4 days I was completely sold on the foot stool idea. My guitar stayed in place while I played, freeing up BOTH arms to be more athletic.I did notice, however, that my body posture just seemed to be "off" somehow. Instead of sitting square with the guitar, my body seemed to be rather wrapped around it. This threw my spine off as I was always kind of "twisted". For me personally, I didn't suffer back pain... but it just felt a little awkward.So I started to do some reading and watching YouTube videos and I became more and more convinced I should give one of the suction cup guitar supports a try. After watching some comparison videos on Youtube, I liked (in theory) the idea of this simple Gewa Gitano model. Honestly at €32 it seemed a little pricey for such a small simple device (that is until I saw the price in the USA was over TWICE as much). So I went for it.My initial feeling when I first opened the small (not wasteful) shipping box was that it indeed was a lot of money for such a tiny little simple device. The instructions in the box weren't much help, so I kind of had to figure out how the thing went on the guitar myself. (Think of pulling a small camping tent from its bag the first time and having no real instructions. It actually was rather funny "watching myself" figure out a simple little jigsaw puzzle.)In a few minutes, however, I had it on the guitar. Initially, I had to move it a couple of times to get it into just the right position but that was fairly easy.Let me jump now into how I like it...It is absolutely wonderful! It holds my guitar effortlessly in the perfect playing position. I can move both arms freely and the guitar magically sits in place. Unlike with the foot stool, both my feet now fit flat on the floor, so I am much more comfortable.Some people (I have read) have complained that the suction cups keep coming off. That has not been the case for me. In fact, they seem "welded" in place. I don't even need to take it off the guitar to put it into the case... When the arm folds down, it is so thin that the guitar easily goes into the case with the support still attached. (I probably won't get into the habit of storing it that way, but it's good to know I can do it if I like.)I suspect the finish on the guitar has a lot to do with the "stick-a-bility" of the suction cups. My Cordoba GK Pro Negra has a very smooth finish that does not appear to be porous. The suction cups stick like glue!I did go ahead and install one of those thin plastic sheets on the guitar under the suction cups, however. The reason being that I am concerned that over time, the suction cups will leave marks (dare I say "guitar hickies"?) on the finish. If your guitar has a rough finish or the surface is porous in any way, your will probably need the plastic sheet. I'm just using it for protection, however.So that's pretty much it... I've been using this little gizmo for about two weeks now and could not be more impressed. Not only does it support the guitar in the way I've been searching for, but it is so small and light weight. Although the footstool wasn't all that heavy, it was one more thing to lug around. This is so small and compact that it will easily fit into the "accessory compartment" of my case.... or (as I mentioned) I could actually just leave it on the guitar in the case if I liked.I'm actually thinking of buying an extra one to carry around with me when I go to guitar shops for trying out their guitars (always fun). I'm already so spoiled with my guitar being in the perfect playing position that I want that same experience, even when I am just taking guitars for a "test drive".There are lots of guitar support designs and manufacturers out there. Even Guitano makes several models. Many of these are rather bulky. They might be a little more "safe" and would not come off so easily were one playing "in concert" but given this model works so well for me, I will happily keep using it.One final reason I like it better than many other designs is that it does not lift a guitar higher (as do many other designs). This device does not elevate the guitar at all, but rather simply rotates it into the position which suits me best. All things considered, I am sticking with this Gewa Gitano model.Would I buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend? ... Absolutely!One last reminder, your mileage may vary. If your guitar has a rough or porous finish this device might not work as well as it does for me. Having said that, for me it works perfectly. I simply could not be more pleased with its performance.======================= Update: 06 July 2022 =========I've now owned this device since late December of 2018, so that is 3.5 years of satisfied ownership. As a caveat, my guitar has a very polished surface, so the suction cups stay attached with no problem. (Owners of satin finish guitars might not get the same positive results.)The size and positioning of the support device is perfect for my height/weight/proportions. When my guitar is sitting on my leg, I can let loose of it with both hands and it will stay in place, allowing me to use my arms for playing... not for holding the guitar in pace.I am on the tall side with long legs but with "average proportions". Players who are taller/shorter than I or who have legs out of proportion from their bodies might not fare as well. For me, it's perfect.The device is so small and compact that I don't remove it when I put my guitar in it's case. I've noticed absolutely no ill-effects from this practice.About the suction cups, some owners claim they don't last long and are expensive to replace. I can only state my own experience in that after 3.5 years, they stick "like new". I do have a little trick to keep them pliable, however. That is, whenever I change strings (once or twice a month), I pull off the suction cups and soak them in hot tap water in my bathroom sink (as I am doing the work to change the strings). In fact, I'll usually put fresh hot water (tap "hot water" only... I wouldn't soak them in boiling water from the stove). As they are soaking, I gently massage them, gently working the rubber with my fingers, even turning them "inside out" a few dimes. This massaging and soaking seems to loosen up the rubber once again and they seem to perform like new when I put them back into the device.I do wonder of those people who claim they had to replace the suction cups after a year or so if those people had actually taken the time to "kneed" them after a hot-water soak. Your mileage may vary but my are still going strong after 3.5 years.I'm STILL very much loving this product.======================= Update: 04 July 2023 =========This device continues to work perfectly. So much so, that I just leave it permanently on my guitar except when I restring it once a month or so. The suction cups leave absolutely no marks on the finish. The device itself folds so flat that it lets me slip my guitar into its case with the device attached. So far, I see no wear on the inside of the case from it.If I could reiterate from my previous post, the suction cups still work great. As I mentioned previously, I pull them off about once a month (usually as change strings). I soak them in my bathroom sink for that hour in the hottest water I can get out of the tap. Every few minutes as they are soaking, I massage them gently - both "inwardly and outwardly" just to stretch the rubber GENTLY to keep it pliable. During that hour, I refresh the water several times with fresh hot water, to let the heat do it's job. I would caution people to NOT use boiling water from the stove and not to get TOO rigorous with the massage, lest you damage the rubber. I've had such good luck with this "soak and massage" technique that I'm curious to see how long these things actually might last. ... More updates to come. (I still absolutely LOVE this device, in general).======================= Update: 04 July 2024 =========Well, another year has passed since my updated review exactly one year ago. I originally purchased this Gitano guitar support in 2018. That was six years ago (I can't believe it!) and the support (including the three suction cups) are still going strong. I'm still using the original 3 cups! As I mentioned in my earlier reports, I soak them in hot tap water and gently massage them every time I change strings (once a month , on the average). I love that I can just leave the support on the guitar, even when I put it into its case. After six years, the suction cups have left absolutely no marks on the finish.One thing I didn't mention before is that I've never used any polish of any kind on my Cordoba GK Pro Negra. Its Gloss Polyurethane finish is perfect for this device (unlike a "French Polish"). I only clean the finish of the guitar (including where the support suction cups mount) with good old-fashioned "spit polish and a soft clean cotton cloth. Recently, I've started wiping down the area under the cups with an eyeglass quality microfiber cloth after my usual spit-polish. That final microfiber wipe seems to be even be better (although I feel somewhat guilty for using microfiber products at all... I apologize for that.)So that is my update on this Gitano guitar support, STILL using the original suction cups after six years!See you next year!

Had supports before which were ok but come unstuck at the wrong moment. This is perfect.Stays on and is easy to adjust to get an ideal position for classical guitar.A great plus is that you can leave it on in your case so no need to carry anything apart from your guitar.

Il supporto è ben costruito e molto confortevole. Le ventose sono PESSIME e non si riesce a suonare per più di due minuti senza che si stacchi...una vera delusione visto che finchè tiene è davvero comodo! Inoltre ci sono 4 spazi per le ventose ma nel pacchetto ce ne sono solo 3, l'altra va comprata a parte ed è molto cara (per essere solo una ventosa); Un vero peccato!

32 euro buttati via.... il supportl, a ventosa, non rimane mai attaccato alla chitarra di mio figlio. Non lo consiglio

Sembrerebbe perfetto. Non particolarmente ingombrante come altri supporti tipo "tappert", permette di liberarsi dal poggiapiedi e avere sempre la corretta postura. Inoltre è richiudibile senza dover sempre togliere e mettere nel caso di trasporto con la custodia dello strumento.

Acquistato per mio marito, ero un po' scettica ma devo dire che rende moltissimo. Mio marito è felicissimo e funziona molto bene.

Le prof de guitare de ma fille nous l'avait fortement conseillé et effectivement, il est indispensable pour tenir correctement la guitare.Très facile à positionner, on peut l'enlever et le remmettre sans problème. On peut également le laisser poser car il ne tient pas de place et ne gêne pas pour ranger la guitare dans sa housse.
