Maybe I got a bad unit, but I have found that the potentiometer (adjustment wheel) is very inaccurate and hard to use. Sometimes a quarter turn will change the value 5%, sometimes 50% and even worse, it won’t hold the value so you turn it to a value you like and when you pull your finger away from the wheel it jumps to a different value. This makes it extremely hard to use with any accuracy. One of the things I liked about it was the ability to tell exact values from the digital screen but the jumpiness of the adjustment wheel makes it fairly useless. The other issue I have with mine is that the lcd screen has a pretty big dead spot. It doesn’t prevent you from reading it, but it looks bad and causes some confusion when a number is displayed that could be another number but it’s unclear because of the dead spot (like 7 and 1…the dead spot covers the top left of the “7” so it’s hard to tell if it’s a 7 or a 1).Battery life is good, and it is fairly bright. It doesn’t get as dim as I would like but that’s not a dealbreaker. The color variations are nice and rich and it’s nice being able to punch in a specific value with the selection buttons. I don’t really have a use for the “lighting scenes” but there are a lot of them and they are pretty good.Again, I could have just gotten a bad unit but in my opinion there are better options out there for the same price.

I don't do anything too crazy, I'm no professional photographer or videographer, but I do like being able to take good photos and pride myself on a period I recently picked up a road phone cage which has tons of thread mounts and cold shoes and I figured this be great to pair.it's not incredibly bright, but it does have a wide variety of adjustments in color temperature and hue, and gets the job done for a price that won't break the bank. My only complaint is that my unit does have something rattling inside of it, as if there's a screw loose or component loose that had fallen into the shell, but I haven't seen any issues while using it so far. Time will tell if this grows into a larger issue.

So this light is very similar to others that are like it. It is bright, compact and convenient. It doesn't seem to have a memory which kinda sucks. However, it is probably the fastest light I have or have used to cycle through the menu and settings. This is where this light REALLY shines.... Ahem. The dial turns it on and off but also controls the light intensity. Its very fast and easy to use. The white light starts at 5000k, press and hold the plus or minus and you are at either end of the spectrum in 3 seconds. Find tun with some taps. press M and you are in RGB colors and they cycle just as fast. Hold the M button and you are in scene mode. There you have 20 options of different effects. Easily the fastest and most intuitive light like this I have ever used. I really like this one and can't wait to put it to creative use!

Fotopro’s LED Video Light RGB is a lightweight small (about 90 x 70 x 30mm,) Inside its plastic body there are 16 leds that can deliver variable temperature white light (2500 to 9000k so you can get a warm orange to a bluish white light); or a long mix of colours. The Lights diffusion cover doesn’t hide the individual LEDs; this is less significant as the leds are close together; and the light output works best in the up to 1m range. The light is usb-c rechargeable; its charging circuits can cope with low and high-power charging, though it takes around 2 hours on both. On the lowest brightness using white (5000k) it lasted over 9 hours – I missed it powering off. At full brightness you will get spots if you look at it.The controls are simple; there is a rotating switch that doubles as the brightness control on one corner. Then on the back there are 3 touch sensitive pads; one changes mode and the other the settings in the mode. If you are powering through the wide white range, you can press one per degree or hold and it sprints through at a fast pace. The biggest downside for me is it doesn’t remember the last setting when you power it off; it always comes back on at 5000k white mode. The light offers adjustable white temperature, RGB colour and a seemingly endless number of effects; if you need the light to flicker there is something in there for you.The light has a cold shoe mount to attach to your camera or cage – and its lightweight won’t make a huge difference if you are blogging. The mount has a friction adjustable angle. There is also a ¼ 20 tripod thread on the base so you can mount it (which would be good for a streaming/ conference call fill light.)If you want a small video to work in the near space – on your desk or for vlogging this will improve your low light video (or get rid of shadows on your video conference calls. It isn’t especially expensive; and the huge upside is the long battery life.
