Sono un appassionato di musica. Non inseguo il dettaglio a tutti i costi ma attribuisco grande valore alla qualità del suono, senza cadere negli eccessi.Non mi interessa inseguire micro dettagli, spesso impercettibili, e proprio per questo non ritengo necessario investire cifre esorbitanti per ottenere un ascolto soddisfacente.Tuttavia, pretendo una resa sonora coerente, bilanciata e fedele alla registrazione originale.Per questo motivo sono sempre alla ricerca di componenti audio, che siano DAC, cuffie, diffusori o amplificatori, in grado di offrire il miglior rapporto qualità/prezzo, con una timbrica naturale, buona dinamica e un scena sonora credibile.Qualche anno fa grazie ad Amazon ho scoperto la ditta Fosi Audio, un’azienda che mi ha molto sorpreso positivamente.Fosi Audio, a mio parere, è riuscita con i suoi prodotti nell’intento di offrire a tutti la possibilità di riscoprire il piacere dell’ascolto musicale, grazie ad attrezzature costruite con qualità, intelligenza e criterio, capaci di emozionare, senza svuotare il portafoglio.Tengo a precisare che non ho alcun rapporto commerciale con Fosi Audio e non ricevo compensi per le mie recensioni. L’azienda mi ha semplicemente inviato un K7 da provare, senza richieste particolari.Quello che leggerete è frutto della mia esperienza diretta, senza filtri né condizionamenti.Ho provato il Fosi Audio K7 per diversi giorni, utilizzandolo con vari dispositivi: Macbook pro M4, iPad, PS5 ed anche su sistemi windows e devo dire che questo dispositivo mi ha veramente sorpreso.Non è facile trovare un prodotto così compatto, elegante e solido, capace di offrire un suono pulito e soprattutto, una versatilità così ampia senza la necessità di driver o software aggiuntivi. Il tutto, a un prezzo alla portata di molti.Il Fosi Audio K7 è un amplificatore HIFI DAC che consente di giocare, ascoltare musica, fare live streaming, o più in generale soddisfare esigenze multimediali, offrendo una qualità sonora decisamente rara in questa fascia di prezzo.Come mia abitudine ritengo inutile dilungarmi sulle specifiche tecniche che sono ampiamente indicate nella descrizione del prodotto.Preferisco invece condividere la mia esperienza concreta di utilizzo e di ascolto, a partire dalla confezione: essenziale ma curata, con il recente look nero decisamente più professionale.All’interno della scatola oltre al K7 (protetto da un sacchetto di plastica) troviamo: un buon cavo di collegamento usb-c con adattatore, un’antenna Bluetooth, un cavo splitter per cuffie, il suo alimentatore da 12 V ed un piccolo manuale in lingua inglese e cinese. Manca la lingua Italiana e spero che questa lacuna sia al più presto colmataLa qualità costruttiva appare eccellente: il telaio in alluminio spazzolato è piacevole al tatto e garantisce una buona solidità. Il design è arricchito da due manopole, un ottimo display e cinque tasti di controllo fornendo una ergonomia essenziale ma moderna.Apprezzo in particolare l’assenza di inutili luci intermittenti o colorate ed anche la mancanza di Led nei tasti che considerato il tipo di utilizzo sarebbero inutili ed appesantirebbero l’oggetto nel suo utilizzo e nella sua estetica.Il pannello frontale include un ingresso microfono e un jack per cuffie da 3,5 mm e un jack per cuffie bilanciate da 4,4 mm.Il pannello posteriore ha praticamente tutto quello che può servire: una uscita RCA, un ingresso coassiale, un ingresso ottico, un ingresso USB-C, l’ingresso per l’antenna Bluetooth e naturalmente quello per l’alimentatore.I COLLEGAMENTISono rimato sbalordito dalla versatilità del K7. Al contrario di un altro dispositivo simile prodotto da altra Azienda il Fosi Audio K7 in tutte le prove che ho fatto è stato riconosciuto immediatamente, senza necessità di driver o software aggiuntivi, e tutte le volte con grande qualità.Voglio precisare alcune cose che possono aiutare chi lo accende per la prima volta.Il Fosi K7 si attiva pigiando il primo tasto a sinistra del dispositivo. Il secondo tasto serve per selezionare l’ingresso a cui è collegato (ad. Es. USB - BLUETOOTHT - OTTICO - COASSIALE). Il terzo tasto serve per selezionare l’uscita line o quella in cuffia. Il quarto per bypassare i toni ed infine il quinto tasto per selezionare bassi - acuti o la sensibilità del microfono tramite la manopola destra.Il primo pulsante oltre ad accendere l’apparecchio serve anche per selezionale alternativamente una delle due modalità una indicata come UAC 1.0 e l’altra come UAC 2.0.La modalità UAC 1.0 fornisce il supporto microfonico con una uscita fissa PCM 48khz-16 bit ed è praticamente compatibile con tutto.La seconda modalità quella denominata UAC 2.0 consente un audio di qualità superiore via USB fino a 384Khz-32bit e DSD256, ma richiede una configurazione specifica su Mac o Windows.Per tale motivo anche se il collegamento è intuitivo, aggiungo di seguito qualche consiglio nel caso di collegamento ad un computer windows o Mac in modalità UAC 2.0 poiché bisogna selezionarla e settarla anche nel computer.ESEMPI DI COLLEGAMENTOCollegamento bluetooth:Premere il secondo tasto e selezionare “BLUE”. Il dispositivo entra automaticamente in modalità pairing: basta cercarlo con il proprio dispositivo (Mac - windows - cellulare - tablet ) e connettersi.Da attenzione che la PS5 al momento non supporta l’accesso bluetooth ma solo USB in modalità UAC 1.0Collegamento microfonico con USB (UAC 1.0)Selezionare la modalità UAC 1.0 tramite il primo tasto. Collegare il K7 con il cavo USB in dotazione alla PS5, al tablet, Mac o Windows che lo riconosceranno immediatamente.Collegamento con USB ad alta frequenza di campionamento (UAC 2.0):Selezionare la modalità UAC 2.0 tramite il primo tasto. Collegare il K7 con il cavo usb in dotazione al sistemaMacintoshAprilre Utility - Configurazione Midi Audio - Fosi Audio K7 e scegliere la frequenza di campionamento. IOS segna erroneamente frequenze più alte di 384 KHZ a 32 bit ma non selezionatele perché non compatibili.WINDOWS- Aprire pannello di controllo audio - proprietà - Avanzate e scegliere la frequenza di campionamento.COME SUONAIl K7 è un gioiellino sonoro. Al primo ascolto colpisce subito la totale assenza di rumore di fondo: niente ronzii, clic o interferenze, il suono non solo è preciso ma anche sorprendentemente pulito. Le voci in cuffia sono nitide e ben definite, con una resa che restituisce naturalezza e dettaglio. Il controllo dei toni sia per i bassi che per gli alti, consente una regolazione fine e piacevole, permettendo di adattare l’ascolto alle preferenze personali senza stravolgere il carattere del suono.CONCLUSIONEIl Fosi Audio K7 è un dispositivo flessibile e ben progettato, capace di offrire un ascolto di alta qualità. La sua versatilità lo rende ideale non solo per chi cerca un alleato per il gaming, ma anche a chi desidera un buon DAC - Amplificatore per cuffie in grado di integrarsi facilmente con diversi dispositivi. Il tutto senza complicazioni di driver o software offrendo oltre che alla possibilità di regolazione una più che soddisfacente resa sonora. Devo dire che Fosi Audio sta continuando a sorprendermi con la efficacia sonora di questi nuovi prodotti

This review is based on approx. one week of use, and will be changed should any early issues present themselves.I purchased the K7 as a replacement to a Creative Labs X5, which I will discuss later in this review however for those short on time, the K7 is a competent, compact, and easy to use DAC/amp targeted at both the gamer and audiophile markets. It has a acceptable range of input and output options for the price, provides excellent audio quality and I would strongly recommend it over 'gamer' audio products from other manufacturers.For those looking for more detail, the K7 directly competes with the only other HiFi/gamer DAC/amp I am aware of, the earlier-mentioned X5. Differentiating themselves from other products in the demographic, the K7 and X5 sport a 4.4mm balanced output for headphones or IEMs and 3.5mm microphone input in a single package, making them enticing options for users wanting to either throw on some super hi-res 24-bit/192kHz audio tracks or settle in and play the game of their choice over voice chat without having to mess around plugging and unplugging or splitting input and output across multiple devices.I'll save repeating the information you've already scrolled past to get to this review in regards to specs and just say that the K7 provides all the connections I could reasonably see the average user needing for having one of these hooked up to a PC, however for higher-end audio or home theatre fans it is notably missing optical out or RCA line-in, personally I'm only using the RCA out for a set of desktop speakers combined with the front panel output for my headphones.In regard to software, this is where the K7, in my option, deviates in the best possible manner from most gamer-focused products and that there is no need to install a frustrating, resource-sapping and privacy-invading application. It is a true plug and play device, lacking even the need to install any particular drivers. This specifically presents a huge advantage over the X5, which requires installation of both Creative's app and a suite of drivers to activate its full range of functions and crucially can cause compatibility issues when either the software or Windows updates, which led me to returning the X5 due to a currently unfixable static-inducing bug.Reasonably, this also means that the on-board functions of the K7 are relatively limited and it does not provide any virtual surround or other audio gimmicks but does come with the ability to increase or decrease bass and treble within a certain range, allowing for small tweaks to your thump or clarity without messing up any other EQ you may have applied on your PC. This is where the X5 is a clear winner, while similarly being stereo-only it sports the full range of Creative's audio tweaking and EQ software with the exception of Super X-Fi.Bluetooth blows the X5 out of the water, with the K7 supporting aptX HD to the X5's SBC. I have seen some disappointment that there is no support for newer, higher resolution codecs however I'd consider 24-bit/48kHz more than sufficient for casting to the K7.The K7 also has two USB working modes, UAC (USB Audio Class) 1.0 and UAC 2.0, togglable with a button press, which lead to what I would consider one of it's few downsides. As clearly stated by Fosi, use of the microphone is specifically limited to UAC 1.0, only when using either the 3.5mm or 4.4mm headphone out. Reasonably I could not see a reason you'd be using both the speaker out and microphone at the same time in a desktop environment so this isn't a massive issue, however in UAC 1.0 the audio output quality is locked to 16-bit/44kHz, compared to the X5 which allows for any selection of audio and microphone quality independently and while using any combination of outputs. This may be as deal-breaker to some, but I'd consider the only time I'd be using the mic would be gaming, where I'd have my headphones on and not be too picky about if my game audio isn't true high definition since I'd have voice chat overlapping it. The UAC 1.0 mode also allows for easy compatibility for consoles.Finally, the physical interface of the K7 is nicely laid out with two large dials and a rank of buttons making it easy to control volume and mic input, the OLED screen is crisp and informative, showing your input, output and audio quality, although it would be nice if it had a sleep or dimmer function to prevent burn-in! The all-metal casing is pleasantly weighty but does get a little hot at higher audio quality (particularly at the top-end 32-bit/384kHz setting) so make sure it has some ventilation room. Compared to the plastic construction and LED segmented display of the X5, the K7 feels more 'premium' despite its cheaper price.In conclusion, Fosi have made an extremely strong effort to snatch Creative's crown as 'the' HiFi gaming audio hardware brand. Provided the K7's build quality is sufficient to hold up for daily use over a long period of time, as one would hope, I'd have absolutely no reservations in recommending this over any other gaming audio interface currently on the market.

Wirklich schönes Teil. Umschalten zwischen Kopfhörern und Lautsprechern, geht schnell und problemlos. Im low gain reicht die Lautstärke locker für ein MMX 300 und MMX 330 Pro. Sehr detailliert und detailgetreu, soweit ich das beurteilen kann. Habe sogar meine Soundblaster G8 dafür aufgegeben. Das einzige was mich etwas stört ist im UAC 1 Modus (nur in diesem Modus geht das Mikro) das die Bitrate auf 16 bit 48khz beschränkt ist auf dem PC. Will man die volle Vielfalt des Gerätes benutzen muss man in den UAC 2 Modus schalten und hat dann auch 32 bit 384khz, aber halt kein Mikro mehr. Wer übrigens nach dem Umschalten in den UAC 2 Modus ein nicht erkanntes Gerät im Gerätemanager hat, die Abhilfe ist der ZD3 Treiber von der Fosi Audio Homepage. Ist laut deren Support der gleiche der für K7 gebraucht wird. Bei mir hat es aufjedenfall funktioniert.Trotz der kleinen Bitraten Begrenzung beim Einsatz von Kopfhörern und Mikro, kann ich das Gerät weiter empfehlen.

Superb. I bought this when I read the reviews online. I'm amazed. The build is top notch. The style is distinctive. Best of all the sound is as it should be. Transparent. No noise. And you can add some bass or treble if you want. I keep bypass on. And I love that you have balanced and unbalanced output at this price. This is for the audiophiles who also game. Easy to get up and running. Improved the sound of my PC38x massively for music and video. Was subtle in a racing sim (iracing) but still noticeable.

Purchased for use with a PS5 Pro and to replace my current DAC/AMP which has been the Creative Sound Blaster GC7. In summary the Fosi Audio K7 is a stunning DAC/AMP which has blown me away.The K7 is very solid, beautifully made all-metal construction with two digital potentiometers for volume and mic/bass/treble control. In the box you get the K7 unit, separate power supply, USB-C to USB-C/A cable and an adaptor to split a 3.5mm TRRRS connnection into microphone and headphone inputs. You can select between USB, Optical, Coaxial and Bluetooth inputs. RCA outputs for powered speakers. Can be run in UAC 1 or 2 mode, but when using the Microphone input must be set to UAC 1 mode. It doesn't get very hot either which is nice.I tested it first on a Fedora 42 Linux PC and played a few FLAC music files I know well, using a combination of Drop HD 58X & HD 6XX headphones. I also A-B tested against a Fiio K5 Pro, Fiio K11 and iFi Zen CAN/DAC Signature Stack (HD 6xx edition). Although it hasn't quite got the texture, soundstage or warmth of the iFi stack, it gets very close for music. Certainly sounds pretty much on par with the Fiio K5 Pro and K11 I own. Music wasn't my main aim with this DAC/AMP but this thing I suspect easily goes toe-to-toe with anything in its price range.I am pleased to say it works flawlessly with the PS5 Pro, so far. This time using Drop PC38X and Beyerdynamic TYGR 300R headphones for The Division 2, Horizon Zero Dawn Remasted and The Last of Us 2 Remastered. USB, or optical (via my TV) sound is the same in volume and quality (need to run in USB mode to use the microphone). The Fosi K7 has a microphone level/gain adjustment plus separate bass and treble adjustments which work very well in adding some sub-bass, or top-end treble. Although I don't like EQ this is one of the better implementations I've seen on a DAC/AMP.I don't really have any complaints at this stage, more some observations. Unfortunately like many 'audiophile' DAC/AMPs it can only play one input at a time, which is a shame, but understandable. Also the small 1.5" screen doesn't auto-shutoff, or anything and is always on. And the left volume wheel adjusts from 0-64 where I had to run this on higher numbers than I expected (up to halfway) so not sure if it is a linear scale. The K7 clearly has loads of power for most headphones. Balanced 4.4mm is great to have too. The volume wheel does rotate indefinitely so I'm guessing it is possible to accidentally nudge the volume up too high and therefore something to watch out for.Overall I can't speak to durability, or a longer-term review, however my initial impressions from the time I've spent with it are that this is something I'm going to love using. There aren't many DAC/AMPs with microphone inputs on the market and the Fosi Audio K7 provides a nice alternative to the recently released Creative Sound Blaster G8. If you just want a powerful, high-quality, stereo DAC/AMP for gaming and music then this could easily be it.
