I ordered these to help chop up our cardboard boxes after our local council asked that all boxes be chopped up and put into bags for collection, but my wife confiscated them to cut leather and heavy duty fabric These cordless scissors by Mulcort are really impressive. Along with a USB-C charging cable they come with two times 2500mAh batteries so you can be using one whilst the other is on charge allowing you to use them for long periods at a time these are a little tricky however to fit as they are almost symmetrical except for a little piece at one side and only go on one way. The scissors also have a front facing LED, perfect to see what you are cutting especially if the material you are cutting has a cutting line not so important when chopping up boxes but more so if you are cutting out a pattern.We can't comment on how long the blades will remain sharp and they do not come with any spares.

Ordered for curtain making duties, but the scissors have already been used for snipping card and fabric to cover wall canvases. The kit comes boxed in retail packaging and is supplied with the electronic scissors, a cutting head, a pair of batteries, a USB-C charge cable and a very basic user manual that is mostly in Chinese with a few areas marked in English. The scissors are quite intuitive though and I had them put together and working straight out of the box.The batteries are 4.2V 2500mAh dual cell power packs that provide enough power to cut material for hours between recharging. The batteries can each be recharged using the supplied USB-C to USB-A cable that connects to laptop USB ports, phone/tablet wall adapters or USB hubs etc. The batteries came with some charge in them but I popped one on charge and it was full in an hour or so. The two batteries are likely enough to keep working all day for DIY and craft users who can swap the batteries out and ave them charging whilst the other is being used.The cutting blades are nice and sharp and open wide enough to feed material through without snagging. The scissors have a built in LED lamp that does a decent job of illuminating the cutting area. It powers on with every press of the trigger. The blades cut at a fixed speed of 8000rpm, which is fine for most jobs but I do wish there was a speed-responsive trigger or speed control switch. The battery level can be checked on a triple LED light bar with a press of a button on the body f the scissors. This is only possible whilst they are cutting and I’m not sure how accurate they are.The biggest issue is the way the battery packs struggle to engage with the scissors until a considerable amount of force is applied. The batteries only fit one way, but that’s not particularly obvious either as they are almost symmetrical in their design with only a couple of additional millimetres of plastic sticking further out on one side.Overall they do a good job and are very comfortable to use for extended lengths of time. They’re quite in operation and don’t vibrate too much during use.
