I have large hands and this product gives me a much better grip on the Glock.

This fit my Glock 42 standard factory mag no problem. I'll probably buy another. Why not 5 stars? Because it's not perfect. There's about a millimeter or two of wobble front to back, the factory plates have zero, and I mean zero wobble. For me it's a non-issue but I'm sure some out there would say something to the effect of, 'that millimeter will get you killed!' So for them, 4 stars not 5. I only needed about half this much extension for my purposes so I Dremel'd it down (this was after I noticed the wobble, so it's not what caused it). This extension make the weapon and mag taller than my p365. Making it poke out under my shirt a little. Hence the Demeling.

I have medium to (long) large hands and the G42's grip is a wee short without an extension. I shot it plenty well without these extensions, but as I've practiced more with larger grip guns, I wanted a little extra real estate for a flatter trigger press. I absolutely recommend these baseplates for that. They don't poke out too much for concealment if you carry, but I won't pretend they don't add a little extra to your print. I found it marginal, and the added grip outweighs the light print addition. (this will vary on how you carry. Hip/4 o'clock will print more than appendix)The price point on these is excellent for what you get. I would buy them again if I needed them, hands down. The only minor complaint I have for them is that they smelled really strongly of plastic/acetone that I assume is from the moulding process. I won't dock it a star for smelling like plastic, as it does go away, but it was worth noting. It's a powerful smell for such a small bit of plastic.In closing, if you're considering getting these for your G42, I think it's worth it. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Comparing them to Glock's own extended plates, these are longer, so you get a bit more of a grip, and at less of a cost.

Awesome!I ordered these several weeks before my new Glock 42 had even arrived... I knew I needed something to assist with the grip, so I went ahead and ordered 2 of the "Pearce" extenders. I tried to talk my friend into ordering them since we are both in Law Enforcement and both were waiting for the new Glock 42 to come in. He said "I don't need anything like that"! Approx 5 days later when our pistols arrived, I pulled out my Pearce extenders and installed them on the two magazines while he was still filling out the transfer paperwork. The girl behind the counter told him," I'm not sure I like the grip on this ", at which time I handed her mine... She took it and said, "Wow! Now this feels great", and called one of the other girls over to hold it. Both of them were going on and on about how much better the Glock 42 felt with the new extenders. My friend looked up at both of them (who were both great looking), and said, "I ordered those for mine too, they just haven't came in yet"! I just stood there looking at him shaking my head and laughing.. Thirty minutes after we left the store, he called me and said, "my Pearce extenders will be here in a couple of days"... He received them really quick, installed them, and now goes around showing it to all the women he knows like it was his idea to order them in the first place! I also ordered the "Traction Grip Overlays" from Galloway Precision for the G42, and the same thing happened... He didn't see the point until he saw the reaction I got from everyone.. He now has one ordered for his Pistol. I've since ordered 6 more Pearce extenders for 3 more of my friends because the quality and feel is so much better than without them.. Esp on the new Glock 42. You can't go wrong at all with this product! You will love them... and so will the women in your life!

Ok so these are a little bit of a pain to install but once it's on it makes it all worth it. My wife loves it and says the feel of the gun is even better than it was.As far as install goes there are a lot of YouTube videos that show a few different ways to get the original bottom plate off. I chose to put the mag in a little craft vice I have so I didnt have to worry about finding some buffer so the beast metal vice I have didn't tear into it. I still folded a paper towel over and put it around the mag before I compressed it. That being said I DID NOT compress the mag a whole lot, it was just enough until I could wiggle the baseplate a little after the spring pin was pushed in. Then all I did was take a very small flat head and work it in the sides to pop the notches off. It went pretty quick for me and this way I did not damage the original in case I decide I want to put it back on or the mag (just a little roughed edge but you can't see it once the grip extension is on).All said and done it wasn't bad at all and I will probably be getting another one for the extra mag.
