I've bought a lot of Bluetooth modules from these guys. Mostly H3s and 5s. But this was a total waste of time. None of these modules are well documented, but this seems to have negative documentation since some of it is wrong. Something is very odd because at one point my phone said the device was a security risk and it should be forgotten. Eventually it locked up and wouldn't work at all. At least I got my money back. Don't buy.

I've been intending to explore Bluetooth for the next version of a PCB I designed a while ago, and seeing this module available for review was timely. The item is shown accurately in the listing and works well. At first the enclosure looked to have a lid that was clipped in firmly and tricky to remove, but using my ifixit spudger it actually opened up easily. The item uses a bluetooth module with castellated holes that's been soldered to a board with a few additional components.Recommended as a good development module.
