My apartment has a hideous marble counter top. It's so busy that I can't put anything on it without it looking messy. But I rent, so there aren't many options to fix it. Finding this "fix" was amazing! The paper went down easily, I used other advice I read and pierced any bubbles with a pin. I used a plastic card scraper to put it down and went very slowly. I made sure the counter was clean, the tiniest piece of dust makes a bump that can tear (i have a few small holes because of this, but they are tiny and blend in). So far, spills are not a problem and it looks so good. I just have to remember to use a cutting board and not the counter. It seems there are a lot of different styles available, I think my windowsill should be white marble, maybe change the top of my desk to maple...
