A hilarious look into the life of Darth Vader as a 'normal' father instead of the galaxy ruling dictator he actually is. This book has absolutely wonderful artwork in it and, in fact, this is what first drew me towards it. Upon reading it, it's actually a hilarious, family friendly look at the Star Wars family which is actually quite touching in places.This is an ideal gift for Star Wars fans and it is as respectable to the Star Wars universe as it is hilarious. Highly recommended!

Davvero carino!!! Soprattutto per i fan di Star Wars e di Darth Vader. Per apprezzare le vignette in modo particolare bisogna conoscere molto bene le battute dei film, meglio se in lingua originale. Stupendo anche come regalo a un papà fan di Star Wars

Al fin encontramos el modo de enganchar a los niños con el inglés (4 y 6 años). Las situaciones de Darth Vader con su hijo son tan disparatadas como reales, casi nos sentimos más identificados los padres que los niños, muy divertido y un buen recurso para animar a los chavales, fans de Star Wars, a la lectura (también lo veo apto para adultos) fantástica compra.

Being a star wars fan, a bunch of my friends bought this for me for fathers day. This is such a fantastic book. Basically its Darth Vader taking a more active role in raising Luke (his son). It just a really sweet book, and there is actually a small set of them. Great book, worth of the $17.00 for the hardcover.

Per lettori che conoscono e amano Guerre Stellari. Mio figlio ed io ci siamo divertiti molto nella lettura, ho apprezzato molto l'immaginare il rapporto padre/figlio nella quotidianità con i rimandi alla saga.

....il volto nascosto del lato oscuro.... quale sarà quello vero?Tenerissimo, ci è piaciuto molto anche per l segno grafico pulito ed elegante.

I am actually writing this review today to present my perspective as someone who (for once) isn’t the target demographic – I am a female college student, whose LAST thought is parenting. I am neither a son nor a father. So, I am here to offer my point of view for skeptics who find this book interesting only for fathers and sons.Why I Picked It Up:I picked this book up because (1) It’s related to Star Wars, which I love, and (2) Because of the adorable front cover and title. So sue me for choosing my picture books based on their pictures.I expected to find it mildly entertaining, and flipped through it at my local independent bookstore. I found the artwork entertaining and cute, but ultimately put it down because I knew that I would lose interest right away.When I got home, however, I immediately typed it into the Amazon search bar and knew that I had to order it. I regretted putting it down at the store, and I knew that even if I really did get bored with it, I wouldn’t regret having a quirky Star Wars related book on my bookshelf.My Overall Opinion:I love this book. Not just because I love Star Wars (although that probably does have an affect on my opinion), but because of the heartwarmingly comical artwork. There are scenes in the book that I just stare and giggle at because I find them too adorable to ignore. Yes, I breezed through the 64 pages in minutes, but the greatest quality of this book is the ability to not get bored of it. I flipped through it, reading everything and looking at every image carefully, and then promptly read it a second time. I put it down on my shelf, wandered around my house, and then pulled it out again. And I have done that at least every few days since because it has a bit of a timeless quality to it that I was not at all expecting. As a general rule, I do not have many picture books at home because I find them boring after the second time I go through them unless the art is truly spectacular. This book, on the other hand, seemed determined to catch my interest.The book itself feels very sturdy and well made, and the actual content is entertaining for adults as well as children. The price is not at all steep for the quality material used to create this book. It is an excellent addition to anyone’s book or Star Wars collection because it really has a kind of collectible feel to it.My final point today with my review is that regardless of age and gender, if you are mildly familiar with Star Wars, then you’ll probably enjoy flipping through this book. Don’t be afraid of leaving this book on the shelf forever – you will definitely reach out and look through it from time to time, and it will grow on you every single time. This is the book I show all of my visiting friends and family members, because people latch onto these kinds of books. It’s short enough that you can easily go through it in one short sitting, but it’s long enough that you won’t feel unsatisfied by the time you reach the end.Kudos to Jeffrey Brown for making a refreshingly different kind of picture book for dads, sons, Star Wars fans, AND just about everyone else out there with even an inkling of interest in Star Wars. I mean, everyone wants to imagine a world where Darth Vader actually raises his son, and this book does it in such a comically sweet way.

Ordinato insieme a "Vader's Little Princess", sono arrivati entrambi in tempi brevi e questo era in ottime condizioni. Sono soddisfatta!

Libricino (64 pag) adatto a tutti gli appassionati della mitica saga... Devo dire che mi ha sorpreso perché non me lo aspettavo così bello : copertina rigida con scritte in rilievo, qualità di stampa superba su carta spessa e poi l'idea geniale di Jeffrey Brown. Prodotto consigliato !!!

Anche se non sei un appassionato di Star Wars questo piccolo libricino sarà capace di toccarti nel profondo. Una chicca adatta a tutti. Bravissimo l'autore a cogliere i molteplici aspetti della vita di un padre e trasportarli nell'universo di Star Wars. Da prendere al volo. Consigliatissimo. La lingua Inglese non è un ostacolo insormontabile. E poi esiste sempre google translator. Amazon sempre di più il mio negozio virtuale preferito.
