I filtri colorati Cokin come lo P003 Rosso costituiscono un potente metodo di espressione, non importa quale sia il soggetto. Utilizzati nella fotografia a colori generano effetti che sono assolutamente spettacolari! Una regola semplice: per schiarire un certo colore è necessario scegliere un filtro dello stesso colore, mentre per scurirlo è necessario utilizzare un filtro di colore complementare. Così, ad esempio, un filtro verde evidenzierà la vegetazione e un filtro arancione o rosso scuriranno il cielo. Il Cokin P003 Rosso evidenzia fortemente i rossi, scurisce i blu ed i verdi, crea spettacolari effetti di cieli in tempesta.

Cokin have been producing filter accessories for years - in fact, my mum used to purchase them and I'm an adult now! These products aren't necessarily cheap compared to the rest of the market, but for the most part I do believe you get what you pay for. Case in point; last week I accidentally flung this filter onto gravel as I was removing it from the camera, yet it miraculously survived unscathed. I wouldn't put it past other products to have been scuffed in such incidents, as I know for a fact they are literally just cheap pieces of plastic with a dye.With regards to the packaging, I only wish Cokin would make it clearer that it is in fact the 'case'. On my first filter (orange), I wrestled with the bloody thing thinking that I may have gone senile, only to discover that it is in fact a pouch that slides open and shut. This is why the microfibre cloth is glued to it. Sadly the cloth and card are now ripped to shreds, but I learned my lesson for this red filter and have had no problems.I use this red filter for black and white film photography, and the results are very dramatic. I would have use it with great consideration for the subject, as it quite literally make or break a photo.

The red filter is used primarily for B&W photos. It will darken blue skies and highlight white puffy clouds. This filter is not intended to give you more dramatic sunsets, and is not recommended for color photography, although you can use this to get some unusual color shots. You can use this filter in conjunction with an ND or polarizer filter and get some really good shots. Cokin makes excellent quality products and I would suggest to you that you go with Cokin in lieu of third party products, as these will simply give you better results and last longer.

quality filters, you need to bin the plastic box though its too big, get one of the cases to put your filters in.cokins packaging has become a bit hit and miss for some reason.
