This is a thin wire. It works well for plants. I wouldn't use it for chickens it's too thin of a wire to use for protection. It was a good price for the amount you got. It's easy to use. Easy to cut.

As described

I use 12" wire around the base of my porch to keep critters off, particularly my chickens when they free-range. Without this they will mess all over the porch in no time. I just use a staple gun and adhere it to the wood posts. In the past I've used the plain galvanized, which works nicely, but this time I tried this coated variety. It's just as easy to use, and personally I like the green color.

This product works great to keep small animals out of my garden. It's light weight and seems to hold up very well. Is strong and durable.

I’ve used chicken wire in my garden beds before, but never this small. I returned it.
