It’s hard to tell, well, the part was what I ordered , though my problem doesn’t seem to be with the display cables as changing them did not fix my overall problem. But the component i ordered seems to be working fine

Once I'd finally managed to get the new wire into the laptop, it caused the display to go completely blank as opposed to the flickering that had been taking place with the "faulty" wire. Would have asked for a return/refund but the window shut a day before I realised.
