I love the Thudbuster seat post to bits and it is now on it's fourth bike but the elastomers do not live that long - if you think about how long an engine mount lasts, it is disappointing that you only get about 10,000 km out of these. On the other hand, I am glad they are still selling the spares for the older models.One thing that helps is to ignore CC's table when it says to combine two different grades - the softer one will always get quickly scarified and it is better to go to the next step up or down that uses two of the same firmness.

The image shows 5 elastomers and I only got one.This is misleading, I thought I was getting 5.It is what it is but maybe you should change the image and be more explicit.

The original lasted 2-3 years and probably around 5000 miles, then they began to bulge a little. The result was that the thudbuster was starting from an already depressed position, leaving less room for travel over the bumps. Since I'm pretty big, and we sometimes ride on mountain bike trails, I worried this might eventually lead to breaking the bolt as well.In order to maintain safety and get the thudbusters back to doing their job more completely, we replaced the old elastomers, and the result was that good 'ol Thudbuster comfort we love so well.

As described, good shipping, no issues; however, to be clear - this is for a single elastomer ... which becomes a mild surprise when you're needing a pair and a single one arrives, oops.

Make sure you order the elastics for your weight and below. Because the ones that com with it may not be the ones for your preferred ride softness
