Fa quanto previsto, e bene.Peccato manchi una porta audio (non nelle specifiche)

Dopo appena 1 anno di utilizzo non funziona più. Il computer si riavviava o spegneva in continuazione, rischiando di danneggiare l'hardware. Solo dopo parecchie ore di lavoro perse, ho capito che è dovuto a questo prodotto. Quindi l'ho rimosso ed il PC ora funziona correttamente. Non posso più chiedere il reso purtroppo, e sinceramente non me la sento neanche di sostituirlo (sempre se si può), visto che può dare problemi anche parecchio tempo dopo. Noto pure che anche altri hanno avuto problemi. Soldi buttati.

Se lo stacco repentinamente il PC non è più stabile... come se andasse in loop qualcosa e si impalla...

Se desconecta de golpe de forma aleatoria, y la única respuesta del servicio técnico de Caldigit es manifestar que se trata de un problema del sistema operativo de Apple porque usa sus drivers. No especificaron cuál era el problema y se limitaron a señalar que debía de hacer limpieza general. Cuando les manifesté educadamente que su respuesta no era aceptable ni en absoluto satisfactoria, dieron la callada por respuesta.Todo en flagrante contradicción con las características comerciales del Element Hub en las que se afirma sin rubor alguno que el aparato es compatible con Mac OS (en mi caso, MONTERREY y superior).Lo menos que uno puede esperar de un puerto de casi 300 euros es que sea fiable.Lo compre a finales del pasado mes de noviembre, y gracias a Amazon he podido devolverlo.Obviamente, los aparatos distan de ser infalibles y perfectos. Pero un buen servicio técnico tiene que ofrecerte una solución, sea una reparación o un reemplazo.Ni una cosa ni la otra en mi caso.Aseguraros en vuestras compras la garantía de Amazon. Es un salvavidas.

L'ho utilizzato con il mio macbook pro 14" con processore m1pro e posso dire che fa il suo dovere piuttosto bene, lo sto utilizzando per collegare altri due monitor da 2k esterni e un ssd e sono pienamente soddisfatto

Dovendo gestire molti ssd pieni di virtual instruments, questo è l'unico modo per sfruttare a pienole possibilità di utilizzo senza avere problemi di overload in Logic. Super soddisfatto, anche se con meno soldi sul conto! :-D

I've tried to use this as a hub for a couple of external hard disks. Nothing fancy. I've used it on several Macs (Mac Pro 2019, PowerMac Pro 2022, etc). Different systems (Catalina, Big Sur, etc). Different formating and labels of the the external hard disks. No avail. As soon as the computers goes into sleep mode. The external disks disappears from the desk top. Never to return. No matter what you do.

Un ottimo prodotto per espandere le porte del Mac e nel mio caso trasformare tramite un solo caso un portatile in una postazione fissa. Nel complesso è ottimo l'unica cosa che ho riscontrato è un calo di circa 100 Mbit in velocità sui dischi esterni (nel mio caso usb c 3.2 gen 2), già il Mac M1 rallenta questi dischi di suo e con il dock si sente di più. Comodo il suo software per espellere tutti i dischi esterni contemporaneamente prima discollegare il Mac. Bene anche il fatto che togliendo la corrente non è necessario scollegare la dock dal MacBook in quanto non assorbe corrente dalla porta del Mac.

Connectivity wise, this hub is ideal for my needs. Has enough ports to drive all my essentials and these is no impact on the r/w speeds of my external drives (when compared with them being linked directly with the laptop’s thunderbolt port.The packaging of the hub is nice and neat and the build quality of the enclosure is excellent. The ports are stiff and the devices are securely connected, not afraid that something will be disconnected if I move it around on the desk.The operation is simple and was plug and play (already had the latest thunderbolt driver from intel installed, latest drivers from the OEM and up to date Windows 10). I received an error message stating that the Thunderbolt device I’m using is not certified for PC use. Caldigit was not aware of this error so I went ahead an uninstalled the official intel driver and installed the one from Caldigit. The interface changed and that message is no longer displaying, probably a good sign. All my devices were recognised and running with the official intel driver as well as with the one from Caldigit, so far so good. One thing to note- if you eject your element hub from the removable devices, you’ll not be able to mount it again. The only way to fix it is by disconnecting the hub from its power supply and reconnect it and it will mount again, together with all devices that were plugged into it. This might not be ideal for some and does not behave like a traditional hub that you could re-mount or just unplug the thunderbolt cable and plug it in again, without having to power cycle all the devices that are linked to it (this is a powered hub, will not work with the tb4 cable alone).Something else that might be good to know is that the motherboard is moving inside the enclosure. I’ve noticed that there is a whining noise that comes out of the hub and changes in pitch whenever wiggling any of the cables that are connected to it. If you’re sensitive to coil whine noise, this is not a dead silent device.I’ll continue to use it and share my experience with you, should anything change.Hope that you’ve found this helpful.

Stavo cercando un hub efficiente per il mio Mac, con porte prestazioni per ciascuno standard. Alla fine sono 'caduto' su CalDigit, che mantiene ciò che promette al 100%. Ci sono altri hub sul mercato, a costi anche decisamente inferiori - li ho provati, ma non sono all'altezza né del Element Hub, né delle mie aspettative. La qualità si paga, insomma.

CalDigit va verament super bene, molto pratico lo consiglio fortemente ! ;o)
